Took my vehicle in to have a squealing/squeaking noise diagnosed. They told me the reason for the squealing/squeaking noise the POWER STEERING PUMP is BAD. So they replaced the Power Steering Pump and charged me $583.73. Picked up my vehicle after it was FIXED and it made the same squealing/squeaking noise I took it in to have fixed in the first place. I let Point S know and they looked at it again. This time they told me that it actually wasnt the Power Steering Pump that was bad, it was the Alternator thats bad. Now they want to charge me $475.62 to replace the Alternator. They replaced the Power Steering Pump that DIDN'T NEED to be replaced because it wasnt bad and wasnt the problem and charged me $583.73 for basically nothing. Now they want to charge me $475.62 to fix the real problem according to them which is the alternator. Just imagine you take you vehicle to a mechanic to have a noise fixed. They tell you its fixed and charge you $583.73. The problem isnt fixed. Then they want to charge you another $475.62 to fix the actual problem that should have been fixed right the first time. Thats what is happening to me right now with Point S. All I want is for them to FIX free of charge or pay another mechanic to FIX the problem my vehicle is having or a full refund for the Power Steering Pump that wasnt bad and didnt need to be replaced. I shouldnt have to pay for theyre mistake or misdiagnosed problem. They are the ones that didnt fix the problem and still charged me $583.73 for not fixing it.

We replaced the power steering pump on this vehicle as the customer was complaining of a noise. After ************ inspected the vehicle, he found that the power steering pump was making noise. We replaced the power steering pump. There is still some other bearing noises coming out of the alternator. IF the customer would like for us to replace the alternator, even though it is still working at this time and only making some bearing noised, we are willing to work with the customer at a discounted rate.

The customer would need to contact a service manager for further help.

      Thank you

I am rejecting this response because: I took my vehicle into get that noise fixed. There was nothing wrong with the power steering pump. Thats a lie by point s tire. The guy that works there **** even told me on the phone that the power steering pump was let the problem. He said Its a process of elimination, and the noise was coming from the alternator which is also a lie. I had it looked at my a ************** and they told me its fine and the noise is coming from a belt like I told point s tire in the first place. I want my refund immediately. I wont stop until this I resolved. Ill go to the news, the courts I dont really care, you wont get away with ripping people off.

      Sincerely,

I have once again talked with the mechanic that replaced the power steering pump on your vehicle. He stated that yes the power steering pump was making noise, as I stated before he also heard other things making noise, which is to be expected as vehicles age. The power steering pump was the loudest noise that he was able to discern. I am sorry you are unhappy with the work preformed, we take pride in being honest with our customers.

I am rejecting this response because:

I took my vehicle in to get a noise fixed. I was told the issue is the Power Steering Pump. I paid $583.73 for that noise to be fixed. I picked up my vehicle and it still made the exact same noise it did before I paid $583.73. Then to be told that it wasnt the source of the noise after further investigating its the alternator.  That sounds fair right? Im not rich, I go to work everyday just like you. I cant afford to have to process of elimination game played on me. Who can? I got the serpentine belt replaced  and the noise went away.

      Sincerely,
