This is a young yet driven company striving to sell cars well! They dont just want to sell another car, they want to do it in excellence and make a positive difference in the city. I recently purchased a car from Diplomat Motors and had an excellent experience. *****, the sales guy who assisted me, was knowledgeable, patient, and helpful throughout the entire process. He went above and beyond to make sure that I found the perfect car for my needs and budget. Additionally, ******, the lot tech who helped fill up my gas tank prior to heading out, was friendly and efficient.The dealership itself is clean, modern, and welcoming. The staff is professional and courteous, and they make you feel comfortable and valued as a customer. The prices are fair and competitive, and the selection of cars is impressive. Overall, I would highly recommend Diplomat Motors to anyone in the market for a new or used car.Thanks again to ***** and ****** for their outstanding service. I am giving one star only because zero is not an option.Dealt with a young man named *** who made a very costly mistake in the paperwork. Also, since it was a used car, we repeatedly asked for the Car-Fax and were told it would be sent but we never received it. I bought the Car-Fax myself just to find out that the car had suffered "Severe Damage" to the entire front end and undercarriage.To me, this was hidden maliciously in order to make a sale.They also tried to remove the purchased extended warranty from the contract!Very disappointed and would certainly not recommend this dealership.Review from Nicole B

Absolutely do not go here. They are unprofessional and the manager *********** and name call. We attempted to buy a car from there that they were going to do repairs to. We went home, and 3 days later they told us that our income was not enough to buy the car. They wanted more cash down, and wanted to force the sale by telling us they had already done thousands of dollars in repairs (untrue). As it turned out, it was a paperwork error on their end that stalled the sale. We did not feel comfortable with the way we were treated, and since the loan had not been complete, walked away. The manager texted and harassed us saying we owed them $40k, and that WE were ignorant and unethical. We never even drove the car off the lot. When my husband asked for his $500 back that he had put down to hold the car, they hung up on us.Review from D. S.

We were really satisfied with our experience and appreciated how there hadnt been that high pressure vibe so many other places have.But when our van was delivered we discovered problems that were missed in their inspection of the vehicle. (We live 280 miles away) So far, **** had been so assuring about standing behind their product. Also, I confidently remembered him reporting a bumper to bumper 90 day in house warranty so I wasnt worried. But after notifying him that the van left their lot with issues, I was told that I didnt have a warranty with them because I had received a discount on the vehicle. This was the first time hearing this, and so it would seem that he was never supposed to have told me that we have a warranty or bait and switch is their protocol Later, after I pay to get the vehicle fixed, he informs me that the warranty (the voided one) only covers if they can fix it in-house.(280 miles away) At some point in the middle of this, I looked up reports on BBB. I wish I had seen this before making the purchase. What youll find is stories of folks who were expecting Diplomat Motors to take responsibility for problems in their product. It looks like my experience is part of a pattern where when it comes time to put money into fixing a problem, what you will receive is excuses and justifications for why they wont make things right. My last call to Diplomat was completely infuriating. The phone is answered by *****. I request that he connect me to the GMs line/voicemail. He instead connects me to ****. When I ask to be forwarded to the GMs voicemail, he informs me that there isnt one. Yes, the manager of this business has no line of his own or VM. By this time **** as lied to me a number of times. But maybe this time hes telling the truth. So, shop here for a vehicle knowing that if you ever need to contact the manager..that is, reportedly, not possible. By the way, I ended paying for all the repairs without any reimbursement.Customer Response

Updaterecently **** did send a $350 check which compensates me for what has been repaired so far. There is still $1500 in needed repairs that Im likely to pay for out of pocket.
