We purchased a manufactured home and moved in 4th of July weekend of 2022. When doing paperwork for the sale and leasing the lot, the management for the community, **********************, was having management issues so we were getting a lot of wrong information. We didn't even get a final copy of our lease, just the one we signed. The lease says there is no charge for sewer/water. For almost 2 yrs we never got anything from the water company Salmon Valley. Not even a bill in the mail for the previous owner. All of a sudden we get a notice at our door from this water company saying "sorry we missed you", yet they never knocked. They just left it and drove off. It also said we need to fill an application out. I asked a neighbor if they pay a water bill and they said yes. I was surprised by this. I did the application and then received a bill for over $500 with no break down or any other info to explain this. The home inspection report showed a water leak so I have no idea how long that was happening or how much water we actually used since 2022. The bill said the last read done on the meter was one hundred something and now it reads eleven thousand something!! What??!! I've been contacting Salmon Valley but no one has returned with answers or anything. I guess they would rather wait till my bill is in the thousands. It's bad enough the water smells and is brownish in color.
