I rented from this company. I moved out and received a charge of $75 for cleaning for the apartment even though it was fully cleaned. The lease states they can’t charge for “normal wear and tear” which they did charge me for.Business response

Dear **************- ***************************** signed a 1-year lease and moved into a brand new apartment. She was the first resident in this apartment after it had been constructed. Everything was brand new. She wanted to break her lease after 5 months. The Landlord had no obligation to release her from this lease but did allow her to break her lease early. upon our moveout inspection we found everything to be in acceptable condition except the bathroom sink, floor and the refrigerator were dirty- see photos of fingerprints and dirt.
This is not wear and tear, it was not cleaned. She was charged for 1 hour by the Landlord's cleaning contractor at a cost of $75.00. Part of her obligation was to return the apartment in clean condition. I am sorry she is not happy with this charge but she could have cleaned these areas to avoid this.
