The billing department continues to send me bills that I have paid. I have been trying since August to get my account straightened out. I have called and written letters to no avail. They send me the same bill marked as past due. When I call them they tell me they applied the money to other accounts. I don't know anythig about other accounts as they have never sent me any information on them. I have asked them to send me detailed account information on all accounts I have along with information showing what the insurance company paid and what they have applied from the money I sent. They have not done so. This request was made verbally and in writing. I have no idea where all the money is going that I sent and they aren't providing any information on where they are putting it. Every time I call, I have a wait time. I talk to someone different each time and I'm told something different. I have paid the bills they have sent me. I write the account number of the invoice I'm paying on the check. Yet they say they are applying it to accounts that I know nothing about. Then the next month they send me a past due bill for what I thought was paid. This has been going on since August! My husband retired on July 9. We had Tricare in place on March 31 but had not used it as we were using my husband's employer's insurance. UPMC was notified on July 13 that we no longer had Aetna only Tricare. They were still billing Aetna in September after they were told several times we no longer had it. I am frustrated and angry. I can't get them to do anything about my account. They keep saying they will review it but all I get are past due bills. Some of the accounts were not submitted to either insurance company. I have the names, dates and times that I have called them.
