The quote "Too good to be true" is fishy in this case. The terms of the contract will always favor the business, not the individual. They provided a quick notice to return the car due to unfavorable business conditions. I kept the accumulated miles over having year+: planning to keep the car for three years. But I was asked to return the vehicle within ten days and give up my miles (more than three months of underutilized for free). No extension, pathetic location to return, and asked not to write bad reviews for one monthly fee, which I didn't agree to, so another customer truly understands the business model here. Just be aware of what you are getting into with this drivego. You end up with better deals with leasing in the longer run than this subscription model.Review from Alan L

Scammers. Just straight up scamming their customers, not returning calls, not paying money they owe you.Review from Aaron G

As a customer of GO Car Subscription, I (and many others) experienced a very negative experience with their business. The company recalled my car only 14 months into my 36-month subscription, giving me just 30 days' notice to return the vehicle. It is very difficult to lose your primary car, which you thought you had for two more years, and be told you had to return the car within 1 month. In addition, this company also made changes to their terms and conditions during the lease period, which has affected costs and services provided. This sudden decision affected not only me but countless other customers as well. It became apparent that the company made this move to prioritize their own profits without considering the inconvenience and financial strain it would cause us. Overall, my experience with GO Car Subscription has been highly upsetting and costly to me and my family. I consider them highly unethical. Regulation is needed. At the end they charged me a $395 "pick up fee" to pick up the car. Their was no fee charged when they initially delivered the car to me. They provided a new "non-disclosure" form. This non-disclosure agreement was not a part of the initial lease and was added by the company after the car was recalled. It felt like an attempt to silence customers and hide their questionable actions from public scrutiny. They are withhold $495 until I sign this disclosure and promise not to criticize them on forums such as this. Can you believe that??? Please review this news article in the Philadelphia Inquirer: While not every aspect of my difficult experience is included here, the article does a nice job of providing a context to what has been going on with this company: **************************************************************************************************Review from Cyrano P

My google review last year was deleted but in short: 1. delivered the car two months after promised, 2. charges miles per month so, as a new customer, received a large bill in the second month for an early road trip. They have since changed this but no credit or reimbursement was issued. 3. My monthly insurance costs increased. 4. They began charging a cc processing fee. 5 They cancelled my subscription with a 30 day notice. All of this happened in 14 months and the reasons were always the same boilerplate bs language. This is a very one-sided volatile company. Run fast and far away!!!!!Review from Jed D

Let's start with the most glaring issue of all. As another user put it, Go is attempting to skirt state and federal laws that govern car leases by calling themselves a subscription. It's been bogus from the start to pretend customers are free to opt out of a subscription service when canceling said service does NOT come free of charge. This is in effect a unilateral option for Go, and car lease bait and switches like these are outright illegal in most jurisdictions. Go is now requiring hundreds of their users to return their vehicles with 10 day's notice. There has been widespread resistance to this take-back that has even caught the attention of media and politicians, like the Philadelphia Inquirer who recently wrote a story on this situation and the Pennsylvania Attorney General who tweeted that any affected customers should file a claim. In an attempt to save face, Go has spiraled out of control. They have attempted to get their customers to sign non-disparaging agreements or to risk "paying a restocking fee" when they return their cars. They have also attempted to remove and dilute negative reviews. They removed their listing from Google Maps. They have presumably used their own employees and paid users to write false positive reviews on Trust Pilot. For users who have not immediately returned the car as Go has demanded, Go has threatened to disable, repossess, or report them as stolen, all this even though the customers have continued making on-time payments. At this point, the company can be described anywhere from wholly unreliable to willfully ignorant to blatantly unethical. They have been unwilling to acknowledge the negative effects their choices have had on real people's lives. This company needs to be brought to justice and needs to be regulated. Please make your voice heard by leaving reviews wherever possible and if you are a Go customer affected by their cancellations, please file a claim with the Pennsylvania Bureau of Consumer Protection.Review from scott s

Avoid this business at all costs. Read the TrustPilot reviews to get a sense of how many customers have been affected by their terrible business practices. Many of us entered into a three-year agreement for a car subscription. I've been with them about a year, and their ability to deliver on their promises has never been stellar. First, their subscription was supposed to include ALL maintenance and insurance. Every single time we've tried to get an oil change, not a single business in their "preferred network" honored their supposed maintenance agreement. We spent two weeks and five wasted trips to various oil change locations. Finally had to drive 45 minutes away (and eat up our allocated mileage in the process) to get the oil changed. For several months, we had no access to an online portal to let us see our current status. Their paperwork and communication has always been a mess. And, they're not customer-oriented at all. A few months after the oil change debacle, they drop the car from their insurance plan and force us to carry insurance on it ourselves, taking away part of what was attractive about this business model. Ultimately with insurance and even their subscription reduction, we're paying more than we anticipated. Then, a few months later, they inform us that they're no longer providing maintenance for the vehicle, and we'll have to pay that ourselves, again diminishing what they're delivering on what was originally their end of the bargain. AND NOW, they've sent out a notice that several customers demanding the vehicles back, exercising bad faith on a what was supposed to be 36-month term ... not to mention, they're CHARGING US for them to come pick it up even though we're not the ones who initiated contract termination. They have minimal customer service, slow response time, and greedy business practices. Stay away at all costs. Whatever they advertise is TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE.Review from Niket S

I leased a car from them for 3 years.. But after 13 months they suddenly asked to return the car within 10 days. It was terrible experience and clearly a fraud. Be aware and don't waste your money and time. And its just not me, lot of people are in same boat and struggling with this abrupt cancellation. This is what they emailed - Given unforeseen circumstances, we are unable to continue providing your subscription at this time. As a result, we must request the return of your vehicle within the next 10 days. They don't even understand what the trust and customer obligation is and how much trouble they are causing by just abruptly changing their policies. And in past too they suddenly changed their insurance policies and asked to find our own insurance within few days. They also keep changing their return policies and fees.Review from Jimit A

Beware the promises - they can change everything. Recommend staying away. My experience having been with them for a year 1. At sign up, poor planning means you can’t drive the car for days during temporary to permanent license plate 2. Randomly change inclusions and rules. I got this because post insurance and maintenance costs they were cheaper than a lease. Then they removed insurance and said get your own 3. I had my first service request and as soon as I put my request in, was notified that effective immediately service is not included. 4. At this point they are just wanting to fire me as a customer it feels like. “We get it that this is inconvenient, please feel free to return the car.” So get into this knowing that their rules don’t matter and they will change things for you to make a buck! Very poor start up experience. Stay away!Review from Jeffrey P

We found GO in January and fell in love with the idea a car subscription. We quickly signed up and were guaranteed delivery by mid-February at the latest. The website showed the availability for our car mid-February. We spoke to their team and they guaranteed we'd have a car by February.... so we signed up and put our deposit down. 3 MONTHS LATER we still don't have a car. We had to turn in our prior car (was provided via work and had a hard deadline to return) and now we're stuck without a car and no clear timeline of when one can be provided. With two small kids and activities every day of the week our life is hell. Every week we get an email with the delivery date pushed out another month. We've tried on numerous occasions to get ahold of customer service with no luck. We've tried their calendly solution but it shows no spots open. This is outrageous. It's very clear this company is doing a bait and switch - providing subscription for cars they don't actually have in their possession - nor plan to have in possession for months. I'm sure a class action lawsuit is in the works and there's no doubt this company is going to fail very fast. Buyer beware.
