We hired Joe originally to repair one bathroom job that had been botched by a handyman . While he was doing that, we started discussing two other bathrooms that we were considering. We had agreed on an amount for the first job and scope of the work to be completed. Joe looked at what we wanted done on the other two bathrooms and asked my budget. I told him it was $20-22,000, all in. He said, he could work with that. So far, we’ve paid him and his crew over $40,000 He started the next two bathrooms before the first job was completed. The first job still has not been completed. In fact, he wants final payment or he’s threatening to put a lien on my house. We did add refinishing an existing bar to the job. Out of the four separate jobs, not one has been completed. The quality of the work has been unacceptable. Joe sold us in the beginning on: Overseers, Who Are We? It’s simple. We are masters of our craft. We’re Master plumbers, Master electricians, Master HVAC. We’re also experts. Ironically Overseers is supposed to prevent the exact scenario we find ourselves, unscrupulous contractors. Name and Shame. That’s what he sold us, that’s what we thought we were getting. Instead we got Joe and a bunch of sub contractors he found along the way, some he never met before they came to work on my home. Unfortunately, the work is unfinished and what was done so far was a poor quality. I now have the unenviable task of trying to find someone to take on the project of repairing and completing what has been botched. Joe sold us on his expertise, his company of Masters of their craft. We bought his story because we believed his good ol’ boy sales pitch. I’m 69 years old and had do go into debt for this project. Live and learn, or learn from my mistake.Business response

I will like to be blunt and short to the point. Would there be any addition information? Seems like Mr. ***** has left out about 3/4 of the project. Also Mr. ***** also left out some serious issues that he did not inform your office.
I would like to inform your office of what actually occurred , We had project meetings every morning on his back porch rain, shine, Wind, snow and the like, also had a great in Hawaii on the loan he had taken out. So i think you know where i stand . I will be putting A mechanics lien as soon as our time line is up, also we will be file in court to make sure that this matter is taken very seriously. It is so easy for Mr. ***** to file a complaint with your office, Now it is not going to be so easy form this day moving forward. I will forward you any additional information as we receive it. Remember he is 69 years and i also bought his story of being a man of integrity, Just one more note of information, The last invoice Mr. ***** was to be paid in full , We accepted half of the payment and other half when he finds another job, oh i am sorry i did not see this in his complaint that he was fired and couldn't pay us. IT's been Past 90 Days. I am sorry but i have to take this to court i will spend every last dollar i have to clear this up. I also fined the project knowing that he had financial problems due to the loss of his job, and to still work on his project with a nail in my leg that an accident happened in the bathroom down stairs due to a nail gun malfunction.
