Residential climate services was recommended by home advisor after a lot of phone calls and quotes I decided to go with them for a furnace install and an air conditioner install on February 15 *********** ******* the owner did a walk-through and told me all of the things he was going to do install a A flex pipe under my kitchen floor and a crawlspace fix the sag and an existing flexipipe install furnace filter in the upstairs return in the living room run PVC pipe to the drain. He said he would give me a $350 discount if I paid in cash so the total was $5850.Chris and his buddy came to install March 2 they were here for about four hours he said that he’d have to return because he forgot the filter and the cement and he would fix both the return pipe and the return vent when he came back I paid him and he left. He returned by himself March 10 all he did was half cement the pipe when he was leaving I asked him about fixing the return vent he said that me and my dad could do it and left. I called in an HVAC service to inspect his work he messed up a lot of stuff and didn’t do some stuff I texted him to come and finish it up to fix it he argued with me threatened me but came back and fixed some of the stuff he installed the filter in the furnace not upstairs like he said he would , he put the filter where it is really hard to get to, he didn’t install a p drain. I do not want him coming back I just want reimbursement for the warranty which is cleaning and maintenance for two years that’s $240 a year from Links services in Ebensburg, Pa. $85 for the service call $144 to installed P drain for the water to flow properly. $26.15 for the p drain. Total $735.15. He didn’t even register my warranties I have more details that wouldn’t fit in this box. I’m sending text messages and photos. I can’t add the phone call with my dad, where he cursed and threatened my dad as well. I feel like I was ripped off and now I can’t call him when something goes wrong with the furnace or AC.

Hello this email is in regards to the complaint filed by ** ******. I did do the install of the system. I did not charge her for the flex duct under kitchen as I was doing that as a courtesy due to here having limited budget. It would help all year long with moisture and mold.I also fixed sagging piece of flex as a courtesy as neither are on the bill.enclosed is the list of things she wanted fixed and pictures to show they were fixed. She had another company open up the brand new air handler which would have void any craftsmanship warranty from installing company.(me) as far as cement we did the outside of the wall up to the vinyl siding as to not get any on said siding as it stains ect. The filter housing was originally to be installed as to ease of changing filter but after she researched or whatever said that it needed to be down on furnace in which I referred her to the owners manual of Goodman furnace to which is says it can be installed any where in the return. So to save argument I did as her texts says now that’s wrong.filter housing is installed where she said the other company said it needed to go. Again I have the text I will include. As far  as the p drain the system will drain fine as that is how we do them do to the fact that they clog and cause drain to back up in furnace.Just because another company does it another way does not mean our way is wrong. As far as the warrant goes I gave all the paper work to here and it states from Goodman that the CUSTOMER has 60 days to register warranty. As far as the 2 year charge of services I only offer my customers a the first year free so no idea why she is asking for me to pay another company 2 years worth of services. Again she gave me a bad review on home adviser which has cost me potential customers and money and before I had a 5 star rating.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

      Regards,

      ******** *******

Mr. ******* said nothing about any warranties being void due to another company reviewing his work. I only had another company come in because he did not do the things he said he would do, like install the filter in the upstairs living room return. He said to me, “ you and your dad are handy with tools right?”  And then proceeded to tell me how to make the hole smaller to fit the vent. This is a crooked company, he got his money and left. Now I don’t have a warranty or him to come out and maintain the furnace and ac unit. He hasn’t come out to check the ac, a test run. And I don’t want him to with his aggressive attitude. As for the p tube, you can look it up anywhere, you MUST install a p drain so there won’t be any flooding in the pan. also, the Goodman instructions that he sent said you can install in return vent if it horizontal, my furnace is vertical. But that part doesn’t even matter because he DID NOT install it AT ALL! I had to ask him to come back a 3rd time! I’ll take the one year warranty and the cost of the other company help with the inspection, service calls, and one year warranty. As for the bad review, I only wrote the truth and that’s what Home Advisor advised me to do, and he never responded.
