  On June 13, 2022 we hired Affordable Roofing and Gutters owned by Randy D******. They came and installed our gutters and while they were working on ours went over to a neighbors and did work for him on our dime. While I was not happy about. That night it happened to rain and I could see that all four corners were leaking. They obviously did not seal the corners or did not do it correctly. I notified them the next day that they were leaking. He said ok. Two weeks later I had to leave another message. I was told they would be there that weekend. They did not show. Sent another message and he came the next day. When he went up the one side of the gutter was full of water. He blamed our roof even though our other gutters that were up for 30 years worked perfectly until they rusted. He re-routed the gutter so it would flow downward into the downspout. Ok, had no issue with that but the way he fixed the downspout is disgraceful and so shoddy that it’s not going to hold and is going to leak when it rains. I now have to hire someone else to fix this issue and I’m furious.

  I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
  
  First of all, this letter was not by Randy D****** but his wife. He couldn’t even be bothered to send a rebuttal himself. Second, it took him two weeks and several messages to get him to come back out to even look at the gutters. When he finally did show up he told me that my gutter needed to be re-routed to stop water from standing in the corner. After speaking to the gutter company I hired they told me there is no reason to have re-routed the gutter. If they had put them level to begin with it would have gone directly where it was meant to. They also said the way they fixed it was just plain ridiculous! 

  
  

  I also never accompanied Mr. D****** anywhere. I was working in my yard. I also never told him I was happy with the repairs and in fact contacted him the next day with a picture of the gutters and asked him if this was what he thought was fixing the gutter! He refused to even respond to the message. He also stated he’s “friends” with my neighbor which is ridiculous at best. I’ve spoken with this neighbor and was told the only reason he had him put the gutters on his shed was because they were already there. Nothing more.

  
  

  I have video of the downspouts and elbows on both sides of my porch failing miserably in the rain. They aren’t just slightly leaking, water is pouring out of them.  I also have pictures of the damage they caused. 

  
  

  In closing  I regret hiring Affordable Roofing and Gutters to install gutters on my home. They’re not only unprofessional and rude but they have no idea what they’re doing and have caused me more money and aggravation. I also have proof that I hired a new company to replaced both downspouts and elbows and to actually seal the rest of the corners. I need all the gutters replaced but this is all I can afford right now. I will be replacing the rest as soon as possible.
