      On Friday, February 25th of 2022, I went to this business. I have been going here for piercings for years and never had an issue. On this day, I went to get jewelry. An associate helped me pick out plugs/tapers, specifically for ear stretching. She asked the owner if the pieces I picked out were the correct size that I requested, since they didn't have specific size markings.I needed them to be 0g, or 8mm. He took a look at them and said "Yeah, those are 0's." I paid in cash, $40, was given no receipt which I thought was sketchy, and went home. I measured them and they were 00g, or ****mm. Too big. I went back the next day, 02/26/2022, and explained the situation. I said I understand state law doesn't allow returns, but this was HIS fault. I specifically asked for 8MM PLUGS. I wanted a refund or exchange for correct sizing, since he sold me an incorrect product.He said he couldn't do anything except give me a discount on other jewelry. So first, he sells me an incorrect product, then refused to reimburse me- instead offering me to spend MORE money at his store. His business practice is unfair and falsely advertised by sizings.

      In response to ********************* complaint, I spoke with my associate regarding this matter and it was determined that ****************** actually came to the store on Thursday, February 24, 2022 looking for plugs which are used in your ears. Nine times out of ten when customers come into the shop looking for this type of jewelry they know the exact size they need by usually looking at them. In ********************* case she did not. ****************** asked the associate about the jewelry in which the associate then asked myself and I explained to her that those appear to be the size but metric and standard measurements are a little different and I explained to her that the ones she had in her ears should be  compared to the ones in the package to make sure they were the right size. She said" they look like it". ****************** asked how much the jewelry was and she was told they were $15 each which would have been a total of $30 for the two. She did pay cash and as with every customer that comes in we asked her if she would like a receipt and she responded "no I'm good". ****************** then called on Saturday, February 26, stating that she did not think they were the right size and we told her to come back to the shop and we can see what is going on with them. We are closed on Sunday and Monday, on Tuesday March 1, ****************** came into Porcupine explaining the situation. In conversation with her I explained to her as stated above  that they appeared to be the size she was looking for  and that she had to be the best judge of that with the pair she was wearing that first day she came into the shop. I also explained to her that by law I can not take back jewelry that was bought and left the store not knowing that the sterilized package was not opened and contaminated. She was told she could keep those pieces that were purchased due to us not knowing if they were opened and because i would have to dispose of them anyway and if she would like to look for new pieces that we could offer her a 50% discount.  She stated she did not have time to look and she would come back and left. ****************** never came back to Porcupine and now I'm receiving this letter on March 15th in which I'm responding to.
         ****************** has been a loyal customer for years and I tried to accommodate her with this issue but she never returned to the shop. I have been in business for 30 years and  I have never had anyone tell me that my business practice is unfair and sketchy.
