The PCS crew came on Nov 5 t 1) The flashing which had covered the windowsill was thrown away by his workers, leaving the damaged area fully exposed to the elements. (see attached pictures). When asked to remedy this - his workers did not fix it and left it leaking with an inadequate tape job. 2) On one of the back dormers, workers cut out the existing side rails and flashing and did not replace it, leaving a large unsightly area open to the elements. (see jpg) 3) Throughout, the workers used white flashing as opposed to black which we had ordered, and did not install it properly, leaving an unsightly white band on top of shingles around most of the windows. (see jpg) 5) The flashing around the skylights work is extremely shoddy . (see jpg) 6) Throughout, the workers let the shingles overhang by about 1" more than they should. Other roofers suggest we cut them all back to avoid several issues.(see jpg) 7) His workers came out to replace some of the white flashing when I complained, but left the rest for when they would be back to fix the window sill. It wasn't until after they left that I found out that they wouldn't be back til spring. But they left them taped in a way that would not keep water from continously leaking all winter.(see jpg) 8) The owner was belligerent and unaccommodating - no sincere attempt to stand by his workmanship. We now find that we'll need to pay and additional $1500 to remedy the problems they left behind(redo all the flashing under the windows correctly, fix the flashing they destroyed in the exterior of the house, and redo skylight flashing professionally). I will hire another contractor to fix his work as I don't trust this company to do it right.

I am responding to a complaint involving ****** ******** ** ********* When owner, Brandon P****** was selling the roof to the customer she also wanted work done on her windowsills. She was informed at the that time that our carpentry crew could not get to the work in 2021 and that we could help her out with the windowsills and give pricing, but not until the spring. We told her we would look into the windowsills further during the roof install to see how much framing work would be needed (hence why we had to remove the existing flashings) and we could then give her a price for spring. All flashings necessary for a watertight roof install were completed and replaced properly. During the install the customer was made aware that her existing skylight design was poorly done, she stated the skylights were only a little over a year old and they did not want to go through the expense of reframing them. Two of the skylights were placed to close together to do traditional skylight flashing work. She was advised that we would bend and make new head flashing that would divert water from running in between the two skylights as they were to close together to flash properly. After the install was complete she then stated she knew there were real problems with the design and how they were installed from their original contractor and "wanted to talk about a better solution". She was informed that we could give her a price for that additional work but that the original contract was completed already. Customer continued to insist during the process of the roof install that the crew was putting shingles over rotted wood. When questioned it was determined that she was again talking about the areas of the windowsills that we were not contracted to repair and are not part of the roof. Customer was sent photos of all wood on roof deck that was replaced. At the end of the install customer was unhappy with the exposed flashing color being white, we then sent out guys to switch it to black and at that time she told them not to bother switching the flashings under the windows because she would be having us back in the spring to do the windowsills and we could switch them then. It was even determined in conversation with the customer what type of material she wanted to use for the windowsill repairs and everything at that time. We hadn't heard any further from the customer since then. We do not think that this complaint is very fair because what she is complaining about is her windowsills on dormer being rotted and this was never part of her original contract. Her only contract through us was to replace her roof. During the roof install we replaced rotted wood which also created a change order for 500.00. We waived this fee as well in an attempt to sa customer. See attached photos and screen shots from text message threads. Also attached photos showing that any rotted wood on roof deck was replaced and it was indeed windowsills that were rotted. Also included is a copy of the contract showing it was for the roof replacement only.
