We hired Bob to resurface our front porch with stamped concrete. Bob committed to do the job in June 2020 but kept delaying the date and did not actually complete the job until November of 2020. The price we paid upon completion of the work was $3600.00. In March of 2021 we noticed that the concrete overlay was cracking at the steps and contacted Bob immediately to tell him about the problem. Bob acknowledged the problem and said he would be out to fix it as soon as the weather turned nice. After many text messages and phone calls with Bob we are still waiting for him to come back and fix the problem with the steps. I would like for Bob to come and permanently fix the problem before the winter or to refund us our money since the job was not completed to our satisfaction.

I did a decorative overlay over the ********** front porch. After the job was completed they advised us that since they like the job so much, they would like to have an overlay on the sidewalks also. Every job is a 3-4 day process. Once that job was completed I couldn’t just start the sidewalk due to the other clients whom were waiting for me to start. I advised the ********** I would TRY to get the sidewalk done before the end of the 2020 season. Toward the end of season I did get there and power-wash and clean. At this time we never received a deposit from them or had a contract. Then the weather was too cold to put the product down.  Then my mom passed away due to covid. Then myself and my family came down with the virus in the spring.  **** then called in the spring of 2021 because of repairs on the front porch overlay and to ask when we would be there to do the sidewalk. I told her when I am in your area I will be there, which she seemed fine with. Then her husband called and was upset and said no one called him back. Obviously **** did it communicate to her husband that we were in contact. This then lead to Better business bureau negative comments and now the attorney general and where ever else she can put my company down negatively. I will fix any repairs. I told her this. It has been a tough year. I have a shortage of employees, some products are on back order, rain has slowed us down. I’m not making excuses, but this is a specialty product and we do have an extremely long wait list. I will agree to come and fix whatever repairs need to be done. But I am opting out of doing the ********** sidewalk it’s just not worth the headache. Please let me know when I can complete the repairs. I am happy to do so. I want every clients to be happy with their project. I apologize for being over booked, under staffed, and for having all the issues that come from and unpredictable pandemic.

The original complaint was not about Bob doing the sidewalk work but was for fixing the workmanship problem with the work already done and paid for. Bob did not ever give us a contract with either job and he did not ask for a deposit for the additional request to do the sidewalk so that would be why he does not have that. That is an error on his part. The calls made to Bob were concerning to repair the poor workmanship of the job done on the porch which was fully paid for. Every time that we contacted Bob about doing the repair job, he said he would schedule it within 2 weeks, he never said when he was in the area. Regardless this request has been outstanding for over 6 months now with the expectation that he would be at our home within 2 weeks as he stated. This timeframe is unacceptable. He even said at one time that he would be by that day and then never showed up. Bob has still not given me a date that he will be out to fix the problem with the workmanship and I would like the fix done before the winter season which is what he said contributed to the overlay cracking off. Bob's response did not focus on the complaint of fixing the faulty workmanship. I feel that Bob just gives a date of 2 weeks with the intention of never fulfilling the commitment. I am aware of all discussions that have occurred between my husband and Bob and we already came to the agreement that we  we will not be using Bob for additional work. I see similar complaints about Bob's poor scheduling and not fixing problems with work in other posts from consumers so we are not the first that he has done this to. I would like a committed date the repair will be done preferably by the end of October 2021 and Bob actually honoring the date or I would like some kind of refund for the faulty workmanship.
