On 12/15/2022 I purchased in full a 2012 Subaru Impreza at 95,487 miles. It is now at 97,656 miles, meaning I have driven it 2,169 miles. In the year and 5 months I've had the vehicle it has broken down 3 times. 9/28/2023 - Exhaust pipe cracked causing car to leak fumes. As I drove to get it fixed the CEL appeared. Car could not drive more than 30mph and stalled several times. CEL was off once the exhaust pipe had been welded. 10/30/2023 - Upper radiator pipe burst, coolant exploded from reservoir, car overheated, engine fumed black smoke. Upper radiator pipe had to be replaced immediately, reservoir would not hold coolant or water, car was undriveable. 3/14/2024 - CEL turned on as I took the car to get an oil change. Car proceeded to break down; could not drive past 35 mph and stalled several times. A check of $87.66 was made out to Auto Estates Inc. When confronted about the issue I was told the CEL was due to the oil needing changed. This and the previous break downs were not addressed, and I was brushed aside. 4/28/2024 - Battery completely died 2 months after warranty was up. $208.64. 5/2/2024 - CEL came on. Mechanic assessed dirt built up in the engine. $359.51. Other issues the vehicle maintains Cannot drive beyond 50 mph otherwise the vehicle will overheat, CEL may turn on, car will stall or slow, the ui on the dashboard stops working (miles until fill goes up rather than down). AKA car is not highway safe. Since March of 2024, which was stated to Auto Estates Inc upon oil change but brushed aside, the key gets caught in the ignition and cannot be removed. Mechanic assessed a sensor in the gear shift is broken, causing the car to believe it is not in park and thus the key cannot be removed. I believe I have been sold a lemon. Attempts at addressing the above issues with the man who sold me the car yield no results. I am beyond frustrated and would like my money back in full, alongside the dollar amounts stated here, for a total of $10,862.28 in return.
