We hired the above company to lift our house they didn’t lift the home caused a big mess the workers All said they had no idea what was going on damage our property washer and furnace crews were not professional at all and not the boss is telling me the work is completed and I just talked to his employee and they told me what they didn’t doBusiness response

This is in response to the complaint that was submitted to you on 7/7/2022, ** ********** J&D is currently in contact with the customer to try and rectify the matter.
Customer entered into contract with J&D on April 26th, 2022. J&D was to install 11 Piers under the footer of the home to stabilize the footer. J&D also installed 6 power brace beams on front wall to support inward push of wall. J&D started job on June 27, 2022 and was informed and was informed we could not continue on July 8, 2022. This job would would need 1 to 2 more days in order to complete.
Customer had informed us that he thought the whole house would be lifted back into place. J&D does not guarantee this to be true. The J&D guarantee/warranty contract states that the footer will be stabilized so not to sink anymore. Attached is J&D contract that states that very clearly on the front and back.
J&D was also informed that some cosmetic issues on the job had raised from work being done. J&D stands behind all their jobs so if the workers accidentally scratch or damaged anything on the job we will try to repair/replace/ or deduct a sum of money off of the job as to keep a good working relationship with the customer.
J&d is looking forward to getting this job completed with the customer and hopes to find a way to have a great outcome for all parties involved.
On July 17th around 4:30pm J&D was able to get into the basement of the home to get all of our tools out. Also while Scott was there, he installed the new shark bite fitting for the sink line that we had on the job site to install. He also installed a new striker plate on the door.

My check for 25% of the work total, $665, cleared the bank on July 12. The contract was to install a drainage system including a sump pump in my basement. I did not receive a scheduled work date so I called the office on July 17. They said they would do the work on August 12 and 13, but no one showed up. When I called, the work was rescheduled for August 19 and 20, also a no show. I have made repeated calls to the office and cell phones for which I have records. Sometimes I get through to Shawn but sometimes I get a full answering machine. Yesterday, September 1, Shawn promised to return my call that day with a scheduled work date of this week or next. I didn't get a call back from Shawn. The lack of communication is unnerving and in the meantime I have to continue to use a shop vacuum to remove the water from my basement. J&D Waterproofing notes a ** ********** ******* ** ******** on the agreement but I could not find this license when I searched the WV Labor website.Business response

First off on behalf of the company and myself I would like to truly apologize for the lack of response. Due to My health with ******* and other office circumstances the Ball got Dropped. This does not make it right to the customer nor the Customer. We pride on the 82 Year Growth on customer service, Workmanship. That being Said . *** ***** also filed a lawsuit for the Amy Listed in Past Complaint. Due to the lack of return Calls and the fact that we were backed up do to lack of workers at set time, J&d is ready and willing to offer full refund. We again will discuss if can be sent out today Nov 11, 2021 to Court or Customer

I am responding to complaint ** ********* *** ***** ***** ** *** *** ****** *********** ** *****. I am very sorry that I was not aware of this situation sooner. I unfortunately had an employee that I believed that I could trust to handle these complaints doing so for me. I have since become aware that this is sadly not the case. Once the problem was brought to my attention, I spoke with with *** ***** on the phone on 12/22/21. During our conversation I agreed to send ******** * refund check in the amount of $741.00 which would cover her deposit of $665.00 plus $76.68 for her court cost to file. In return she agreed to cancel the court date and any further proceedings. The check was put into the mail on 12/2221. if there are any further questions or concerns, please contact me in my office at ************ or on my cell phone at *************

In September of 2020 I had J&D waterproof my basement. It continued to leak. When they came out to inspect where it was leaking they decided it was from my downspout drain that was clogged and needed replaced. I paid them $1500 on 10/8/20 to replace the drain. The drain worked for 2 months. Since then when it rains water flows out of the drain and floods my front yard. I have called them for the past 4 months to have someone to please come fix the drain. Several times I was promised that someone would call me back. Never got a call back. I have been promised 3 times by Sean that some one would be here to fix it. The latest being Friday August 13,21. Still waiting and once again no one showed up. Can you please help. I’m tiered of having my front yard flooded to the point I can’t get to my car when it rains.Business response

Responding to complaint ID#******** ********* ********* ****** ***** **** ***** has filed this complaint J&D has been to their home about this problem. J&D found that the downspout line was plugged with debris from their roof. J&D took line apart and cleaned it. J&D also added a section to extend it to the street and advised the ******* that they have to clean out the drain so that it will not back up with debris from roof. There was no charge for this service.
