Zak K******* gave me an estimate to replace the concrete on the front stoop of my house. He showed me all his licenses and documents etc and asked for $1800 down payment to give him some working capital with the remainder due after the work was completed. I have contacted him via text numerous times and there is always an excuse. There is no capability to leave a voice message and he never answers. I know now of at least 3 people he has scammed for money. The last text I sent a couple of weeks ago I have received no response. I gave him the down payment on November 25, 2021Initial Complaint

Zachary K***** was recommended to me by *********************** of ******* ****** for concrete work to support the cinder block foundation of my garage. Mr. K***** came to my house on 4/1/22 to evaluate and price the job. He said it would cost $2800.00 for which he required a $1400.00 deposit. He came on 4/5/22 to collect the deposit & sign the contract. The job was to start 4/12/22 and be completed 4/15/22. He did not show but when I called 4/12 he did say he would try to be there the next day. He did not show. I called and left a message on 4/15/22; there has been no response. I texted him 4/19/22; no response. I would like the job done or my deposit back.Customer response

*** ******* - Thank you for your reply. I contacted the ***** ********* Police on May 4, 2022. I was told to text Mr. Komats saying that
I was cancelling the work order and he should send my deposit back within a week; that if he had any questions he could speak with Officer
********. He did call her and say he would cut a check and mail it. There were several subsequent texts from Mr. Komats each one with a
reason/excuse for a delay in payment. Officer ******** offered to have the police come to my house on Sat, May 28 to witness cash payment
of money to me, but Mr. Komats never showed. Officer ******** called me May 31 to see if I had received my deposit. When I said I had not,
she said charges would be filed and I would be notified of the next step. I received notice that I am to appear at a court hearing at the District
Magesterial Office on August 3, and that if Mr. Komats fails to appear a warrant will be issues for his arrest. Please let me know if you need
any further information. Thank you.
