occurred about a mile from their shop. I asked them to look it over and tell me if they believe it
would be worth it to get a new engine or cut my loses on the truck. They told me the truck
looked solid and in good shape that if it was him he would go with putting a new engine in it. He
quoted me $4,000 for the engine and $1,600 for labor and said maybe another $300 for issues
that may occur. So, I agreed to have the work done. I got my truck back in June of 2021. He told
me total cost was $8,073.65 I paid $7,000 of it then and got my truck. I noticed a loud noise and
we talked about that and figured it was the alternator. We agreed to wait and see if it got better
after time. A few days later I needed 4 wheel drive and tried it and it did not work, so I called
them and they said bring it back. In the meantime I asked people at work the next day and we
looked underneath the truck and realized the actuator was not plugged in, that fixed the 4 wheel
drive. While we were under there we noticed fresh oil, so we cleaned it off. I checked it the next
day and there was more so I started putting cardboard underneath to keep an eye on it.
Realizing that it was a constant leak I drove the truck back to garage. He said he would call the
engine company and see what the steps would be and to go ahead and keep driving it. After a
few months of driving it the alternator fell off so I had to have it towed to garage. While it was
there I had to constantly call the garage and engine company to figure what was going on and
why is this taking so long. Eventually a new engine was placed in truck July of 2022. I called
them and they said I needed to come up they wanted to talk with me. I went up on July 20,
2022. The garage told me it is still leaking oil and they are done fighting with the truck and
engine company. They also said they want the remainder of the balance before I can have my
truck and it is now my problem.
