    I took my dog to get spayed. I dropped her off around 730 am and they didn’t start her surgery until around 2:40 pm. The vet tech called mid-surgery and said she had fluid in her stomach, it would cost $170 for the first biopsy and $63 after. They did two biopsies. They wouldn’t let me pick her up after surgery, leaving her in a kennel overnight alone. They said if anything happened during the night, they wouldn’t know until morning but they would call me when they got there at 7:30. They called around 830 to say she was awake and that the vet would be in after 9 and she would call me to come get her then. They didn’t call me to come pick her up until around 11am. The girl at the desk said my total was $1000. I handed her my card, she ran it, then handed me a receipt that was for $1954.50. I said she must’ve made a mistake, and she said no, I must’ve misunderstood her or not heard her. I would not have handed her my card to scan if she would’ve said $1954.50. They charged me multiple times for the same surgery, charged me for an annual wellness check when she was there 3 times in the last month, and overcharged for meds, materials, and disposal fees. They quoted me the biopsy fees but never disclosed all the extra fees. I have had dozens of animals spayed and have never been billed like this. They have no explanation for the double charges and will not explain how they came up with the amounts they charged. I was upset and tried to leave with my dog and the tech wrapped the leash around her arm and tried to pull my dog back and not give me the bag of meds, which the quantities of those were incorrect. I was missing meds from each bottle but was charged for them all. I am disgusted with the way the vet spoke to me and the bill they padded with extra fees. I posted a review on their Facebook page and shared my bill and had multiple people share their bills with me where the vet did the same thing, double charged and extra fees that make no sense.
