Do not buy from here! I bought a car 3 months ago and in that time period, I've had to replace the battery and now the check engine light is on. When I called, I was told too bad, you didn't buy the extended warranty. The car only has ****** miles on it and I've only driven ***** of those miles. They don't certify their cars and I'm not even sure they did an inspection. They are a scam!CarShop Response

************,CarShop offers two vehicle categories: CarShop Certified, for vehicles under 4 years old and less than ****** miles, and CarShop Select, for those vehicles exceeding either threshold. Your 2017 MKC, purchased on March 22, 2024, falls under CarShop Select meaning it passed a state inspection and included a complimentary 3-month/3,000-mile limited powertrain warranty. At the time of purchase, we presented an option to extend mechanical coverage beyond the initial warranty, which you declined.The vehicle has not returned to CarShop for service since your purchase and you canceled the scheduled service appointment for June 18, 2024. I bought a car the beginning of December 2023. I had the car two weeks and the entire exhaust system was rusted and had to be replaced. Keep in mind I did t even make my first car payment yet. They gave me a loaner car that was out of inspection!!!! Did they not see that too!! I then had to waste 2 days , drove there and back four times. Wasted my time and my gas. These people are schisters!!!! I would NEVER get anything from them. My next call will be to a lawyer. PEOPLE BEWARE!!!!!!CarShop Response

To whom it may concern, Tracy U**** purchased a 2018 Buick Encore from CarShop Glen Mills on 12/1/2023. At time of purchase, the customer was provided a 3 month/3,000 mile powertrain warranty through CarShop. On 1/3/2024 she brought the vehicle in for a loud exhaust noise. During the diagnostic check, our technician found the exhaust system needed to be repaired. It was sent to a third-party vendor who specializes in this type of repair. As a convenience to the customer, we provided Ms. U**** with a loaner vehicle while the repair was being completed. She brought to our attention that the inspection sticker was expired for the loaner vehicle. We immediately brought the vehicle in to address the issue and updated the inspection stickers. Upon completion of the exhaust repair, Ms. U**** picked up her vehicle and returned the loaner on 1/13/2024. All repairs were done at no charge to the customer under our 3 month/3,000 mile CarShop powertrain warranty. We appreciate Ms. U**** bringing her concerns to our attention. All issues have been resolved. Going forward, should Ms. U**** have any concerns, she can contact CarShop Glen Mills directly for the fastest possible assistance.Review from Marcia W

Bought a Nissan murano from Robinson. Several months later during an oil change at a different place I find out that the exhaust muffler is rusted and cracked and needed replaced. I was terrified to drive and had the oil change place do the repair. That was an item on car shop check off list that was marked as being checked. Now I’m out close to $1k. Have someone else go over the check list or don’t buy from them. I contacted them months ago and they have not responded.Review from Jane F

Investigated a car in Hatfield PA. Took hours to get an itemized quote and that was insufficiently itemized. Will not permit a cash buyer to take title with them. force CASH buyers to go through a 3rd party company who registers it for buyers, even if you have plates, paid registration on a different vehicle, and want to pay the out of state taxes your self. count you fingers when you shake hand. Very stupid and unethical. Stay away.CarShop Response

My car has been at Carshop Cranberry for a month now due to transmission issues. I am a patient individual but now this is affecting my husband's work life. In June we started feeling issues with our car. Took to Carshop in cranberry two PA and they stated that the transmission was slipping. We agreed to leave the car there and I was told that a week tops for parts and installation and I had the extended warranty which granted me a rental, however; the rental is only for 7 days. Well day 6 in and no call, I called them and was told by Randy that the parts were lost on the yellow freight trucking company due to trucking company going out of business that there is no way to find my missing parts. Well the granted rental from the warranty does not extend even if parts are missing and it is now a month and I am still giving the same reply. Randy has been kind during this whole ordeal and they offered me their rental for 20 dollars a day but they keep telling me now one can find my missing parts. Now I did ask if new parts could be ordered and the missing parts returned once found cause this is now a month with no car and it is very stressful and I feel there is something else happening. Total scam, I had my car inspected because my brake light was on and my high beam light was off, they told me my tipm was faulty and told me to replace for 2,000 dollars. I replaced it myself and the same issues were still occurring. So I don’t know if they lied to me or don’t know what they were doing but they were wrong.Review from Marcel G

This place is the worst just go to an actually dealership. I've had nothing but problems and the second Isigned and left they could care less. Just got my vehicle registration which they filled out incorrectly and now it's gonna cost me another trip to the DMV to fix another one of their errors.Review from jim G

CarShop in Hatfield, PA sold me a $45,000 2018 Volvo XC90. It's been 13 months since I've owned the car and I have already had to replace both batteries (apparently, there is a backup), all four tires (they put bald, used tires on the car before selling to me), windshield washer fluid pump and motor, the USB ports, and the DEM pump (controls all wheel drive). And, they told me the manufacturer's warranty lasted until February when it actually expired three months earlier. Terrible! You're better off purchasing pre-owned from a dealer.CarShop Response

Hello, Laurie. Thank you for purchasing a 2018 Volvo XC90 from CarShop Hatfield 14 months ago. This was a CarShop Certified vehicle that came with a 6 month/6,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty from CarShop. Your vehicle went through a 109-point inspection and was identified as mechanically sound at the time of purchase. Additionally, the tires on the vehicle were at least 2X the minimum required by the state of PA to pass a state inspection. Had your tire tread dropped below levels required to pass a state inspection, we would have replaced them at no charge. When you purchased your Volvo, you were offered an Allstate Vehicle Service Agreement to extend the initial CarShop Warranty, but you declined. While modern vehicles are generally very dependable, they do experience mechanical issues which are covered by the AllState Vehicle Service Agreement and have wearable parts that are intended to be replaced. Our records indicate that since your purchase, you’ve visited the CarShop Service Department once and we took care of your tire, alignment, and water pump concerns. We stand ready to evaluate any additional concerns that you may have. Thank you for your business.Review from John B

Scottsdale, AZ location - do not go there!!!!!!!!! They need to learn better Sales techniques. The sales rep came out and talked about how great the place was and how "cutting edge". We tried to be civil and allow her time to explain the dealership. After 15 minutes - she finally gave us some space and we walked the lot - but not without a "checking" on us. We had to leave because of weather and asked for her card. She said she would get one and went off to the office. We waited and then started to leave - and she returned - with out the card - and we drove up to the office. She took numbers and e-mails - we thought we might buy - and we left. We have been hounded for the last 3 days. We will make sure all the people we know about this and tell them not to go to that business. Aggravating and irritating. This is why people do not like to deal with car sales people. We purchased a vehicle from a different dealer - who was pleasant and worked with us.CarShop Response
