I entered into a publishing agreement with Page Publishing in September 2021; and published a book with PAGE in June 2022. In 2023 I inquired about sales and ************************* explained that the report needs to be updated; and, in early 2025, they send a written reply that months with no sales to report, will NOT be displayed on the sales report page. Since the book was published up to Dec. 2023; it is the same report; that sales total $60.42; The reporting is incorrect! (For example, it shows on a Sales Results report for 2022 that - Gross sales for 7 books were $19.92. (FYI the book cost for hardcover is $30.95 and Paperback $20.95). I am not sure where the monies of any book sales are going; as I have not received complete quarterly reports; nor any royalty payments.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/26/2025

Thank you for taking the time to outline your concerns in detail. We're glad you brought this to our attention so we can clarify how royalties and reporting work and make sure everything is accurate for your title, ***** ****** y Sus Tres Hijas; la *********** Fue un Tapz.

    How Royalties Work
For your book, royalties are not calculated from the list price (for example, $30.95 or $20.95). Instead, they are calculated from the net receipts that Page receives from our distributors and retailers. A few key points:
Retailers and distributors purchase your book at a discounted wholesale price, not at the full retail price.
From that net amount we receive, your contracted royalty percentage is applied.
This is why amounts shown on your royalty report will not match a simple number of books retail price calculation.
In many cases, the figure youre seeing (such as the $19.92 you mentioned) represents the author royalty on net receipts, not the total consumer sales dollars at the retail level.

Why Some Months Dont Appear on the Report
The statement you received in early 2025 is correct:
Months with no reported sales do not appear on the online royalty portal.
This does not mean data is missing; it simply means there were no sales reported to us by the distributor for that period.
Royalties are also reported quarterly and on a delay, meaning we can only show you sales once they have been fully reported to us by our distribution partners.

    Retailer- and Outlet-Specific Information
Regarding your request for a breakdown from which outlets and amount sold:
Our agreements with distributors and retailers treat retailer-specific data as proprietary and confidential.
Because of this, we are not permitted to provide reports that list which individual stores, websites, or accounts sold your book or how many units each one sold.
We can, however, provide you with:
Consolidated reporting showing total units and royalties by format and period, as they are reported to us by our distributors.

    Next Steps Detailed Title Breakdown
To address your concern about the totals youre seeing ($60.42 to date, and the example you cited for 2022), the best next step is to review your titles royalty records line by line.
We recommend reaching out directly to your Publication Coordinator so they can send you a breakdown of how your royalties are applied.

Please know that we do take concerns about royalty reporting very seriously, and we appreciate you bringing this to us. Please reach out to your Publication Coordinator for your royalty breakdown.

Page Publishing has had my book for over two years. I paid over $4000 completing my contract with them in full and have received nothing in exchange for the money. I am now being told they took so long to finish their work they feel I should pay them even more money. I am not interested in paying additional money. I want the services I paid for and if they are not in time to market the book for Christmas this will quickly balloon into a six figure lawsuit.

    Business Response

    Date: 11/26/2025

We respectfully dispute Mr. ******** claim that "... have received nothing in exchange for the money. I am now being told
they took so long to finish their work they feel I should pay them even more money." We've reviewed your agreement in full, and want to clarify a few important points to ensure everything is fully transparent.
Your agreement specifies a two-year term, with the option to renew, which is noted under the Term section of the contract on page 3 of the document. That two-year term applies to every publishing agreement and is standard for all authors.
Its also important to note that your project experienced multiple delays due to:
Extended periods on credit hold, during which we are unable to move forward with production.
Long response times during your review phases, which extended the timeline beyond the usual pace.
These pauses were outside of our control but did directly affect the projected schedule.
At this point, in order for us to continue with distribution and finalize the remaining steps, the renewal fee outlined in your agreement is required. Once the renewal is completed, we can move forward without delay.
We truly want to help you bring your book to market, and we are fully committed to finishing the process with you. Please let your publication coordinator know once the renewal has been submitted so we can continue moving your project ahead promptly.

I entered into a contract with page publishing to publish my book. As of July of this year, page publishing breached it's contract with me by refusing to produce sales reports or pay out any royalties from the sale of my book. When I questioned them I was told I didnt have any sales from my book, eventhough I had proof of sales from readers. I informed page publishing of the breech of contract and told them that due to the breach that the contract was null and void. I also told them that my book was to be removed from all of their platforms, which not only did they not remove my book which they no longer hold the right to publish but have marked the price of the book higher as to try to reap more royalties from any future sales of my book that I will undoubtedly not see. This company is a scam. Not only will I not get back the almost $7k I spent to have them publish my book but I will obviously not see any royalties from my book, and yes I do have royalties owed to me. This company operates using fraudulent practices and theft. To be clear I have told them that I will not authorize any further marketing set forth in the contract which they breached and have stated several times that I no longer authorize them to publish or otherwise sell my book.

    Business Response

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. Upon review, Ms. ******** book became available for sale on June 26, 2025just four days before the close of the second quarter. The third quarter concluded on September 30th, and it typically takes several weeks following the end of a quarter for us to receive and finalize complete sales data from all distribution partners. Once those figures are fully verified, royalty payments and sales reports are processed accordingly. This process has not yet been completed.
Please note that Page Publishing is not, in any way, in breach of contract. For your reference, we have attached a copy of the signed publishing agreement to this email. On the third page, you will see that quarterly sales reports are outlined as part of the standard reporting schedule.
Additionally, Page Publishing does not control the pricing that independent retailers assign to books. Retailers have the right to run specials or list the price higher due to sale patterns.
That said, we would be more than happy to have a Senior Accounts Manager reach out to Ms. ******* directly to review her account and discuss all of her concerns in greater depth.

While a senior account manager has recently contacted me, the issue has yet to be resolved. Page publishing is in fact in breach of contract by not supplying me with a sales report for the quarter in question stating that I had no sales. I have sent an emailed response back to their senior account advisor with the only possible resolution to this issue which, page publishing should find favorable.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction and concern regarding my recent dealings with Page Publishing. I submitted a manuscript titled Unlocking Algorand and Bitcoin: Your Essential Guide to Crypto by ****** *******, along with an Authors License and Sale Agreement. Despite multiple attempts to establish communication, my efforts have been met with complete ********** has become painfully evident that Page Publishing lacks the necessary understanding of the content I provided. My ebook contains complex code, programming files, and crypto token data with substantial token supplieselements that are essential to the integrity and accuracy of the material. Their inability to accept excerpts, coupled with their apparent lack of knowledge of cryptocurrency, indicates a blatant disregard for the nature of my work. This neglect has compelled me to seek legal counsel. It is unacceptable that a publishing entity would ignore such critical aspects of a manuscript, especially when the content involves sophisticated technical information and digital assets.I expect a prompt response to address this matter, or I will pursue further action through the appropriate channels.

My complaint against PagePublishing is regarding no royalty payments for first and second quarter royalty payments despite ****** my book distributor printed my book for retailers who have made purchases Despite sales Page Publishing Is dishonest regarding the payments owed. In addition, Page Publishing has refused me an audit and copy of my sales report that I can legally request and is non breach of my signed contract. Page Publishing has been involved in a lawsuit for cheating authors out of their royalty payments as well as having an complaint filed against them with the *********************************** to recover an author's royalty payments. The relief that I'm seeking is a copy of the sales reports pertaining to my book sales, and payments of my royalties.

    Business Response

    Date: 09/10/2025

We would like to address Ms. ******** concerns regarding royalty reporting and payments. Please note that all royalty statements and payments issued by Page Publishing are based solely on sales data reported to us directly by ******, a highly regarded and reputable distributor in the publishing industry. The figures provided to Ms. ****** reflect the complete and official records as reported by ******.
If Ms. ****** believes that these figures are inaccurate, it is her responsibility to provide verifiable documentation demonstrating that additional sales occurred beyond what ****** has reported. Only with such irrefutable evidence can we initiate a formal review of the matter. Absent such documentation, Page Publishing must rely on the distributors official reporting, and we cannot, under any circumstances, make accusations of fraudulent activity against ****** without substantiating proof.
Should Ms. ****** have evidence to support her claim, we request that she forwards it to her Publishing Coordinator, who will ensure it is reviewed in accordance with the procedures outlined in your publishing agreement.

We respectfully dispute Mr. ****** claim that, My mother is a Childrens book author and was scammed out of her thousands of dollars to get her book published and the $30,000 plus that the book made She wrote the book called who said cars are just for boys it sold ****** copies over seas! Page publishing was always saying oh the books sold out everywhere yet never paid my moms a single dime.
Firstly, it is important to note that Ms. ******* account with Page has been expired for a considerable period, specifically over three years. As a result of this expiration, her title has been systematically removed from all retail platforms since February 15, 2022. This removal process ensures that no sales could have been generated from her book since that date. However, it is worth mentioning that Ms. ***** has indeed received two royalty checks from our organization. I have taken the liberty of attaching the Check Detail form, which outlines the dates when these checks were dispatched, along with the precise amount for each payment.
Regarding Mr. ******* claim of $30,000 in sales from Ms. ******* book, we find ourselves at a loss to understand the origin or basis of this figure. We can assure you, with the utmost confidence, that all sales related to Ms. ******* work have been meticulously accounted for. Our accounting team prides itself on its thoroughness and attention to detail in all financial matters.
If Ms. ***** is able to provide substantial and verifiable findings that demonstrate our reports from ****** are indeed incorrect or inaccurate, we would be more than willing to address this matter with them. However, it is crucial to emphasize that we require sufficient and compelling evidence to support the claim that the reports were inaccurate. This evidence should be thorough, well-documented, and clearly illustrate the discrepancies between our reports and the actual data. Once we have received and reviewed such evidence, we will promptly initiate a thorough investigation and engage in discussions with ****** to resolve any potential errors or misunderstandings.
As per the agreement with Ms. ****** we have fulfilled all the stipulated work requirements. Consequently, we are unable to process a refund at this time.

I am assisting my elderly father, ****** ***** with his affairs. He was taken advantage of by Page Publishing. They took his money to publish his book "A *************" and now refuse to provide any followup statistics on sales and revenue of this book. I have been given the run around and spoken with agents and supervisors that have provided no real assistance. When asking to get connected with support the **** act as if it is a foreign concept to warm transfer and ensure they connect the customer with the right department for support 2/11/25: ***** operator id 9033- I spoke with this agent who transferred me to a voicemail instead of a *** for assistance.I then spoke with ******- supervisor intake(operator id ***** who cold transferred me to the wrong queue.I called back and spoke with ***** who connected me with her supervisor-Moriah- id *****, supervisor for intake department. ****** offered a callback from the correct department Within 1 business say I got a voicemail asking to verify authorization with my father on 2/12/25.I called in and got ******** operator id *****- he was no help and cold transferred me to Sy operator (id *****. Instead of trying to assist me, Sy only read the notes then transferred me back ******. I then spoke with ******** supervisor *******( id *****. ******* was no help only offering to cold transfer to support. I requested a direct contact or manager in support for assistance to which he refused, told me managers do not communicate between departments and refused to assist me in any way. I am trying to avoid taking legal action and just really want somene to help me help my father. This company seems like a fraud and only interested in taking people's money and taking advantage of elderly customers.

Our apologies for your experience with Page Publishing. In reviewing your statement, I discovered that you are calling our 24/7 call center for new authors that want more information about our services. We have an exclusive number dedicated to our published authors which offers more immediate and direct access to support. Mr. ***** should have that number with his documentation and its also available from the Author Portal. You indicated that we refuse to prove and follow-up statistics on sales and revenue of this book and that you have been given the runaround are the reasons for your dissatisfaction. However, our records in your fathers account indicate that his sales reports have been posted to his account for the fourth quarter of 2024 and Mr. ***** has these available on his authors portal. As you had discussed with our support staff, we will need written permission from ******** before disclosing any additional information regarding this project. Our support staff contacted Mr. ***** after they spoke with his daughter yesterday and explained to Mr. ***** how to list her as a representative. Until we have this information, we would only be able to assist Mr. ***** directly. We kindly ask that if you would like to speak with someone about your fathers account that Mr. ***** sends the required information to do so.

Page publishing refuses to supply me with my quarterly sales report that ended on December 31. The previous quarterly report ended September 30. The report the sent was for October and November. 2 months does not make up a quarter of the year. And they refuse to supply me with the breakdown of which retailer bought how many copies. Mr. **** spoke with our staff at Page Publishing about this issue January 20, 21, 22, and 23 of 2025. We have explained on many occasions that the sales reports are not finalized at this point. You will see in the attachments, first the Sales Reports Timeline that was sent to Mr. **** along with the sales reports that have only been posted through November. Our timeline gives a rough estimate as to when full reports will be posted. The sales report shows that we have not been provided with the final reports for December. Therefore, we're unable to upload those until we receive the final numbers from all retailers. Mr. **** has repeatedly asked for private information about the retailers that we are not able to provide due to privacy laws. We can assure Mr. **** that as soon as we have received the sales data from the retailers, we will have the information uploaded to his portal as outlined in his agreement. We believe we have addressed all issues and concerns and would appreciate it if Mr. **** would save and use our provided contact information in the future if he has concerns. Please reach out to ********************************** or ********************* and they will be happy to help. This is our contact information for Author Support and they can assist with your sales report questions, as needed.

A while ago I made contact with Page Publishing to work on publishing my book, ******* **** ********** ****** I sent in the manuscript and I had to pay them in order to get this done. I assisted with the layout and illustrations and was told I would get all royalties until the amount I paid was recovered, after which P.P. would take a portion of them. I know my book sold, but I have yet to see any royalties. They asked for more money in order to continue to print the book. I later found out that it is actually the opposite of what P.P. does when it comes to producing. The publisher keeps the royalties until the cost is recovered. I asked about a number of how many books sold exactly and was given excuses. Some other company keeps track of it, they only note some of it. Totally not on the same sheet of music. I would like an exact number of what sold and the royalties for the book. I had submitted another manuscript, which they happily accepted, but I opted not to proceed after finding out from an independent agent that paying for publishing a book is the opposite of how Page Publishing does it. The amount paid is approximate, it might have been more.

I was told by a representative of the business that the distribution center, or something along that line, keeps separate records of sales. The business expected me to pay for services they failed to provide. I refused to do this since I had already paid them. I expect a complete and detailed list of copies sold. Amazon indicates sold out, as do other places.

    Regards,
