On February 16th, 2022, I picked my 2021 Subaru WRX up after a routine oil change, tire rotation and State Inspection. I really hadn’t noticed anything crazy with my vehicle until the 2nd of April. While driving down the highway, it felt like a rock bounced off of the bottom of my vehicle. After that, it looked like my vehicle was smoking from behind (it was my oil leaking out of my vehicle). I put my vehicle in neutral and coasted to a stop and turned off my engine. As it turns, my oil plug “fell out” of my vehicle. I hadn’t hit anything so I was perplexed. My engine had seized up and couldn’t even be hand cranked. I called AAMCO to tell them what had happened and they got in touch with the dealership my vehicle is at. Pictures were shared between the 2 and then I received a call from AAMCO. A guy named C**** who I had been working with kind of trapped me into saying something I didn’t mean on the phone. He asked me if I heard a noise when it happened to which I replied “yes” and proceeded to tell me I hit something. I know I didn’t hit anything and the dealership backed me up. There is no damage to support collision with anything and there is no damage to the threads from a forcible ejection of the oil plug. A new engine was quoted over $17,000. I have receipts of service and the detailed findings report from the Subaru Dealership. I want AAMCO to take responsibility for this mistake. I’m an active duty soldier and my vehicle is my lifeline. I can’t afford a new engine and especially for something that was due to poor service.Business response

WBS Transmission Inc. and *** ****** had a conversation that lasted over one hour a few weeks ago to discuss *** ******** issue with his vehicle. After the conversation with *** ******, both parties were in agreement that it was impossible to determine liability. We suggested he file a claim with his automotive insurance company. By the end of the conversation, both parties were in agreement. We have made our attorneys aware of the complaint filed by *** ****** with the Better Business Bureau. Thank you.
