November 27, 202 contracted with Lowes for a countertop project. They sourced to Sims-Lohman in *************, ** forfabrication and installation. The cost which included counters, fabrication, and installation was $3,181. Were told that counter could be fabricated as 3 pieces. Island, main counter, and piece between fridge and stove. Then came back and said it had to be 4 pieces, however they guaranteed there would be no issues and words from *************************** "you will love it and we will make it perfect". Installation occurred December 18, 2023. Multiple issues with the install. 1.new island had a chip. 2.wall was damaged and left for homeowner to repair 3. The graining of the main countertop is running in 2 different directions 4. The two pieces for main counter are not level, coming in at an angle putting weight in corner causing lazy ***** to not open/close properly 4.The main counter (has a gap of 3/8" from one end to the other 5.The main counter has a bubble - if you put level on it center of level does not lay flat can put sheets of paper under it 6.Seam was amateur work and very poorly done (chunks of caulking in seam Sims-Lohman was immediately notified of issues and did not communicate back on resolution. Customer followed-up on Dec 22nd and was told would get response on 27th. Still no call, so customer had to contact again on 29th and agreed to have installer come on Jan 4th to remediate. Told customer would have to remediate wall damage and would be reimbursed. The installer fixed the seam and polished the chip. They said nothing could be done about the chip. They also did not address the main issue with gap on counter and veining direction. Customer escalated to Lowes corporate. **** scheduled another installer for Jan 23rd (did not communicated to customer just showed up). Installer said could not be fixed without refabricating acknowledged bad install. Resolution still not made, **** blatantly lied to ***** saying offered to fix and customer denied.
