On December 23rd I purchased a vehicle for $11.300 from ********** *******. While driving the vehicle home It stopped on the highway. I notified the dealer immediately!! he told me to take it to a shop and he would pay for whatever the problem was, since I had a 90-day warranty and purchased additional 3-year extended warranty. Once I got the vehicle to *** **** a reputable mechanic business chain, contact person’s name is (*****). The dealer who is the owner of ********** ******* name is (*****). He would no longer answer my phone calls. Once I called from a different number the dealer picked up the phone. I did a three-way call with the dealer, the mechanic, and myself. While on the phone, the mechanic disclosed that the engine wires were held up with zip ties and the car had been rigged. He also said *** **** would not touch a vehicle that had been manipulated to the extent of that one. ***** began arguing with the mechanic *****, but ***** stood his ground and repeated exactly what he said about the manipulation of the vehicle. this guy is a scammer he purposely sold a car that was rigged for sale and that practice should be illegal. My Truck has not been fixed, my warranty not honored and now I must pay more money to have the truck towed off *** **** parking lot, because of their refusal to work on a vehicle that has been rigged. I am asking for your help with not letting a scammer get away with stealing that kind of money from a single father like me. He continues to tell me there is nothing I can do because Pennsylvania does not have a lemon law, and he seems to know that I cannot afford a lawyer. I paid over $12.000 and drove the Truck twice. This practice should be illegal, that is why I am reaching out and asking for assistance in not letting this scammer get away with this. Thank you in advance for any help you can give me.***********************

Tell us why here...To Whom it may concern:

Good morning, thank you for taking the time to reach out to us about this complaint, Firstly I would like to apologize for the miscommunication, I would first like to address a few LARGE inconsistencies with **. ****** complaint.

#1. He purchased his vehicle on Saturday December the 17th. He along with his father who retired from the military came down on that beautiful Saturday morning. In his complaint he alleges he purchased the vehicle on December 23rd, the 23rd was a Friday, the reason I am 100000% certain he didn’t come in is for 2 reasons, Number 1, all of our paperwork shows the purchase date of the 17th, Number 2, i had such a great conversation with ****** and his father, I trusted them to take my 12 year old son along for a test drive.. my son only comes to work on Saturdays, my son made a mistake and left his ******* in *** *****s new vehicle, please see text message sent December the 20th asking him if he could please return my sons *******..

#2. Per the email that was sent back to *** ***** see included., our business was founded by our original owner who is a 40 Year retired highway patrolman in the city of Philadelphia, everything that is done at this dealership is done so above board… Please see included Invoice from *** ***** Car Care dated 11/30/2022….. Invoice showing $1,013.57 for Pa inspection and fresh oil change, we outsource this work to licensed repair facility…. The vehicle was fully serviced, *** ***** drove the vehicle 112+ miles home from our location in Croydon, Pa.

Please see first communication from *** ***** letting us know there was any issues. Please see text message dated 1-7-23, if you read my response to him I clearly told him he has a warranty under Veterans warranty, that was 3 weeks after the purchase of the his vehicle, we had not heard 1 word about his vehicle giving him any issues.

Now I would like the statement about communications had between ******, Myself and the gentleman who answered the phone at *******.. NOT *****!! At no time did the mechanic get on the phone, I asked through the young man who answered the phone what was the code that was thrown???????? I heard the man on the phone ask someone in the back what was the code.. He didn’t know… How can you not know???? He claimed to know that our vehicle was “rigged” with ”zip ties” but couldn’t get on the phone to answer 1 question.. The conversation ended when I politely asked for the address to the *******. The vehicle clearly wasn’t going to be fixed there, they couldn’t even diagnose an issue. Clearly he was no help… ZERO!!.

I than asked for the address to the *******, even though *** ***** purchased the vehicle with a 3rd party warranty, which means we are not responsible to fix anything…… *** ***** Signed it… Please see attached… I was willing to help…

On all these older ** (***** *********) which is what *** ***** purchased, the diagnosis of a this vehicle going into limp mode are all easy fixes, 99% of the time it is a bad sensor….

Where *** ***** ran out of luck is when he then proceeded to call me after the 3 way call, and immediately threaten legal action, after I explained to him I don’t fear legal action, when you run a business properly, legally and ethically there is no reason to fear legal action, I was still willing to help him….. Until he then began to threaten physical harm, to which I responded, im not fearful of that either, I’m a professional, and a businessman.

*** ***** and I have had several communications back and forth, please see them all.

*** ***** has gone onto public forums and posted slanderous accusations not only towards our company, please see the defamation of myself personally, using terms like “sold me a lemon”, on myself personally in writing, calling me a scammer, saying we rigged the vehicle, saying I got away with stealing money from him. Its very simple, he contacted ys about a vehicle We spent over $1,000 to inspect this vehicle.

I will not be threatened, in *** *****s complaint he alleges he took his vehicle to a ******* “a reputable mechanic business chain” ******* is a Large Big box retailer of parts and tires, nothing more.

Please see all information attached, I would like to ask that this complaint is closed.

      Please see attached information.

Review can be seen here. ***********************

      Thanks so much!
