I received an EAP, (Employee assistance program), number from my wifes employer, of which I am eligible to receive benefits from, to receive therapy. I searched nearby offices and found one that takes that eap and my personal insurance should I seek to continue after my approved eap sessions end. I only had two sessions and after the first I was informed I had to pay a $30 copay which I did but questioned it afterwards. They did refund me and apoligized for the confusion. After the second session I received another bills  for $30 for the copay for that second session. I called the eap provider and confirmed with them if I needed to pay a copay. They said my eap covers everything and that the therapy provider didn't have something keyed in correctly. They gave me a number for the provider to call and straighten everything out. I gave this info to the therapy providers billing department and they said they would take care of it. I would continue to receive bills for $30 due in the mail from the therapy provider and each time I would scan it and send it to the only person I could get ahold of. I finally felt that I had expressed my frustration enough and that we had resolved it only to receive a bill today for both therapy sessions I had which, again, should have been covered by the eap. I've talked to the one person I could at the therapy provider several times, she knows me by name now. I've tried emailing the CEO and any other employee that I could seeking assistance in this matter. I can only get ahold of the one person and she doesn't seem to be in a position of power to do anything. She is pleasant but obviously not able to resolve my issue. I shouldn't have to pay anything yet I've been dealing with this billing issue more than I have have time in therapy sessions.

I was seeing a virtual therapist for about two months. Unfortunately, my son had a medical emergency around 7:30 am the morning of my appointment (9:00 am). I called twice to cancel only to get a voicemail. After calling a third time, I left a message apologizing for the late notice, but that it was a medical emergency. About two weeks later, I got a bill for $100 for a no-show. I spoke to the billing department twice, described my situation, and they are still sending the bill. I am aware that canceling that late of notice is not desirable. However, I was unable to predict a medical emergency would occur that would need my attention. Their phones are almost never answered and messages have been left and never returned. Please advise. I would be happy to pay my copay for the visit, but I feel that $100 no-show fee is extremely steep, especially when I made every attempt to cancel the appointment.
