In April 2022 I bought an RV from Ansely's . The dealer salesman said he was going to give us the model that had not been unshrinked wrapped yet and we were excited to own a new RV. I specifically told him that my husband would be taking the RV to Alabama and living in it as he works down there. He assured me that buying new was the right choice and that this was a solid investment. Within the first month of owning it, the Grey Wolf - doors would not open or shut appropriately. We called Anselys who said it had to be fixed under warranty. I then called around in Alabama to find somoene to help and failed. My husband called Ansely's who then gave him a number and we called Camping world who set up a time to view it. They fixed doors but not 100% . Add to this that while waiting on doors to be fixed, the alarm for the gas was going off regualry at night. NOw mind you the doors do not open or close properly and at times my husband and son where stuck in the RV. So now it is a saftey issue. We call again and are assured it will all be fixed. Camping world again and they say they will fix it but to date neither issue is fixed. Fast forward to a month ago , now the slide won't work. it wont go in or out . Camping world is struggling to get Grey Wolf warranty to fix our camper. We have called mulitple times to Ansely's asking for a solution or an even up trade due to them selling us a brand new Lemon. They refuse then when we tell them we will pursue action, they tell us our brand new nearly $40,000 camper is only worth $20,000 and if we bring it back we will need to give them another $10,000 cash. What? how can they get away with selling Lemon's and ignoring the issues. I don't know what we can do or how to do it or where to begin. We are hoping you can help.Business response

To Whom It May Concern:
Thank you for the correspondence on behalf of ******* *****. We have been in contact with *** *** **** ***** on several occasions to facility the warranty process involving their Forest River trailer. (Cherokee Grey Wolf model) Forest River is a national trailer manufacturer with dealer service centers all over the country. We were able to get *** *** **** ***** in touch with a service center closest to them at the time of their difficulty. We cannot speak to the quality of the repairs received nor the ongoing issues as we have not seen the unit since it left our dealership over five months ago.
We have tried to offer the ****** as many options as possible to alleviate the situation. It is not in our power to get Forest River to provide another trailer in place of the one that they own. The trailer is still under the manufacturer's warranty. Ansley RV, and I am sure Forest River, will work to the best of their ability to get the warranty repairs completed.Regards,

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********* and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Ansley did not assit us in getting in touch with anyone- they said that here are some places you can call , which we did. Riverview the manufactor of the RV continues to drag its feet in fixing the issues so we asked Ansley to assit us in trading it in for equal value which they refused then said they could give us $10,000 for camper- we paid nearly $40,000. We told we feel they needed to do an even trade because the camper has so many issues- slide won't work, doors are not properly opening and closing and an alarm indicating carbon monoxide continues to beep all through the night. We told them that we felt they sold us a lemon and that we believe they sold us a model that had been sitting and used as a showroom model(outside). We do not believe a new camper should have this many problems and we have been told by others that their brand new campers have never had any issues like this - when first bought. We have also been told that other companies would make this right including camping world who is fighting with manufactor to fix the camper. Ansley should be forced to refund our money or trade us even up with a camper that is equal year and cost to make this right. They would not even call Riverview to assit with the issues of getting the warranty to pay for the problems. IF anything happens to my husband due to the faulty alarms we will seek legal action to the fullest. We have been told it is fine but none of this is fine. We deserve better. I also noted that this same salesman - that sold us our camper also has other complaints filed. This cannot possible be just dumb luck. Seems to me that the salesman - sells lemons and is getting away with stealing money from customers.
[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, we would like to know your view on the matter.]
