In September we got a bill consolidation loan. We were never given copies of the documents we signed. There is a clause in the loan that states that we have to set up the loan auto pay out of our Fidelity checking account. We did not want to do that and so they told us just don't sign that paper. So I set the auto payments up online to pay from my *** Bank (ending ****) account to which the loan was in fact paid from *** on 10/15 (the first payment). Today we learned that Fidelity took the loan out of our Fidelity checking account today (unauthorized), in breach of our loan repayment, causing an unnecessary overdraft. We also see that the auto payment will be coming out tomorrow from ***. Regarding the loan, there is one company that was to be paid off who ended up changing the name of the business and who to make the check payable to. We immediately notified *************************. The cashiers check has not been cashed and we continue to pay that debt as well as the loan which is supposed to have paid this debt, as well as interest on that loan, and now an extra loan payment and a $35 overdraft fee.We have contacted ************************* and ******************************* several times and they refuse to return our calls or emails. Finally today ****** called and she finally put a stop payment on the cashiers check. It will take another 90 days for this to get worked out, which means I am paying on the debt, the loan, and interest on the loan until this issues is resolved.I recently received my Fidelity bank statement by email, which I never signed up for. I am making the very strong claim that perhaps someone at Fidelity breached my account to make this change, as well as the change to the source payment of the loan. Resolution- 11/17/21 Loan Payment reversed, Overdraft fee refunded, copies of loan documents, copy of paperwork switching our statements to email, copy of paperwork authorizing payment from the Fidelity Checking Account, refund of ALL interest paid.
