On 8/23/21 my Freightliner was towed to Sherwood Trucks for repair of the ECM. The repair was completed and the ticket closed on 8/24/21 totaling $2841.57. On 9/7/21 I picked up a load in Minneola, KS and my truck would not start. I was towed to Wichita, KS Freightliner. The wrecker bill totaled $1821.60. I checked into a motel on 9/7/21 waiting for the shop to begin repair. On 9/11/21 the shop begain repair and called to inform me that the ECM that had previously been replaced at Sherwood Trucks was not repaired properly. On 9/12/21 the repair was completed and the ticket was closed totaling $483.16. The total for the motel was $435.95. The total expenses I incurred for the second repair, because the first repair was not done correctly, was $2740.71. The total for both repairs was $5582.28. On 9/15/21 I called Sherwood Trucks and spoke with Joyce regarding the situation I incurred and for reimbursement. She asked me to email all receipts to her. I emailed receipts for all expenses to Joyce and asked her to let me know she received the information. On 9/17/21, 7:02am I called and spoke to Joyce regarding receipt of information and she said she would let me know something. On 9/24/21, 7:18am I called and spoke with Joyce. She said that Tom, Service Manager, would call me back. On 9/27/21, 7:43am I called and left message for Tom. I called back through the operator and she connected me with Tom. Tom said he had just received the information and would call me back before the end of the day. On 9/28/21, 8:10am, I called and left a message on Tom's voicemail. On 9/28/21, 9:40am, I called again and spoke with Tom. He informed me he would get with his representative to cover wrecker bill. They will cover shop expenses. He assured me he would get back with me by the end of the week. On 10/4/21, 9:14am, I left a message for Tom to return my call. I called back at 12:45pm and left another message. It is pretty clear that Tom has no intention of calling me back, or reimbursing me for the expenses I incurred due to the repair not being done correctly at his shop. I also incurred loss of income for the week, since my truck broke down a second time. I am only asking to be reimbursed for my expenses nothing more. The unprofessionalism I have been shown is unacceptable and I would expect a business like Sherwood Trucks to treat their customers with respect. How is is right for me to incur two repairs because the first one was not done correctly? No one has yet to return any of my calls. The additional repair expense is important to me and my family.
