In September 2021, Pella Windows installed 13 windows in our house. They did not remove moldy sills that were supposed to be replaced, they did not put up trim around the outside of the windows like they said they would, they scratched our hardwood floors and our new Vinyl floor, the frame around the windows had moisture in them so instead of replacing the wooden frame, they put the new windows in over the old wet wood, the trim that they did put on a few of the windows was the wrong color, along with many other issues. We contacted them initially to get the price on what we owed reduced and on multiple occasions, but they ignored calls and emails. They continue to send us bills for the entire amount even though they had a breach of contract. We paid half of the amount before the project began. We are in the process of getting a lawyer to draft a letter to send them since they've been ignoring our own attempts at contacting them. They already came out and tried to fix the problems, but instead of pulling the windows out to replace the dry rotted frames, they removed the pieces of wood they could see and left the rest in there.Initial Complaint

Pella windows were installed in our home in 1973. The double hung windows have thin ropes that open and close window and also tip in for cleaning. 3 of my windows now have broken ropes . This means I cannot open my windows or if open they come crashing down. Not only is this dangerous when opening but if there is a fire we cannot exit through these bedroom windows. I have contacted Pella for repair only to be told they don't do that anymore nor do they have parts to repair. They suggest replacing windows which I do not want to do. The window are fine except for this problem. No repair/handy man wants to tackle this. All told me to contact Pella. Pella tells me to get a handyman!!I am an old person and one of these days I will have to sell this house. How can I when I can't get the windows fixed. I could be in a lawsuit. Please help me. Thank you.
