Sean, owner of SJS Plumbing, was contracted to install a natural gas pipe and laundry tub in my house according to code. I paid 70% of the bill upfront. Sean's company then installed the gas pipe and laundry tub improperly, against International Building codes. Both jobs are required to be redone. Sean promised to come back and correct their errors and finish the job, correctly. But he said that he would have to send me an new estimate for the cost of the rework. I questioned why I would be paying more for a job performed against code. I had already paid him 70% of the bill and now is being billed the rest of the unpaid 30%. I repeatedly followed up with Sean asking for when the tub and natural gas pipe would be reinstalled to code of which I have received no responses.
