Keystone Law LLC has been harassing me for a medical bill I had already paid. They have been calling and making threats. I paid only to stop the abusive calls to collect a bill I already paid to ******* ****** Surgery for the amount of $1096.70. This was pertaining to procedure I had month of when COVID pandamic began. I reached out to ******* ****** and created monthly plan during COVID to fullfil bill because my family was going through financial hardship. I did ask Keystone Law to provide details on why they are requesting this cost and they provided no information and documents. I even reached out to ******* ****** and received no records. Please help me stop this harrasment from Keystone Law and to provide me back the funds they collected through bullying. I have fullfiled what I owed to ******* ****** and even though at the time I could not even pay my mortgage as my husband was jobless due to the pandamic.

I was told I owed money and they are trying to collect money on behalf of an international shipping company. They would not provide me the invoice with a detailed description of what the charges were for, or who was their contact that said I owed them money and requested thier help in collecting. I called the shipping compnay multiple times to confirm that no money is owed, they show everything is fully paid and no reason to be collecting payment. Ieven double checked with the broker at this company, and also the original shipper who hired them to do the shipping, no one had any record of me owing money on this order which was a year old.

I received a phone call from someone at the business named ***************************. He first hung up on my friend for not giving his name. (Ive been scammed before and Im very cautious on who I speak with). I called back and he lied saying the person prior said they were me when if fact I know she didnt. He then game me his name and tried to get my personal information such as my address and my DOB which are all easily found on the internet. After telling who I was, legally he can tell me what the call is regarding and he refused to do that as well and hung up on me. I will not verify any personal information until I know who Im speaking to and about. Very unprofessional and not a way to take care of any needs they may be calling about. After googling the company, I know theyre a debt collector and I dont have any outstanding debts.

One of my medical bills was sent to collections with the law offices of **** ******. While I was making payments the firm became Keystone Law. I have made multiple calls to make extra payments (currently my bank automatically sends a small monthly payment). I want to pay off my balance but don't know what it is. The gentleman who is handling my account wont return any of my voice mail messages in which I make clear my intentions. How do I pay a bill when I cant even get a call back to find out what it is?

This debt collector is trying to collect a debt that we supposedly owe our Dentist for $833.88. This balance they are attempting to collect is NOT ACCURATE. The fact is (we have an email attached from the dentist) that the balance is $144.71 - I believe this is considered to be an unfair practice that is prohibited by the FDCPA and RFDCPA. We are currently auditing the dentist ledger on this $144.71 balance as their billing people did not bill insurance correctly to begin with which is why we didn't initially pay because we had to go back/forth with the dentist/insurance which took time and somewhere in all of that they sent us to collections without resolving the problem that they themselves created. I will also say this type of practice is not unique to this Dentist. I know other people who have left her practice having had similar experience. We have since left this Dentist and now looking to resolve the actual balance if accurate and make sure Keystone is aware of the inaccuracy of the debt for which they are trying to collect from us and to ensure there is no impact to my credit due to this most unfortunate situation the Dentist office created.

[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the response. If no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered]

       Complaint: ********

I am rejecting this response because:  While I appreciate the notion of Keystone reaching out to ********** ********* to submit an inquiry with regard to this dispute - we are talking hundreds  and hundreds of dollars this company tried to get me to pay when the real amount provided by the dentist was significantly less.  I would prefer to keep this open until it's resolved because right now it is not.

      Regards,

      ********* ******
