On July 8, after my work day I noticed that my van had an oil leak in the part of the transmission as it was near that company. I made the decision to enter to find out if they could repair the problem. I talked to *** ********* ******** the review and he said that it was a minimal thing that he could repair but that he did not have time at that if I wanted to take the van on Monday, July 11, 2022 I continued working with the van on Saturday and Sunday as my last Delivery was in the Easton Area. I told my wife to pick me up for me leave the van at once where the mechanic called the mechanic ********* ******** and I told him that I was nearby and that I was going to leave it in his company that day he told me that yes and we were going to call me in the morning but on Monday, July 11, 2022 in the morning when I saw that the man did not call me and did not answer me I decided to go see $ 2500 I tried to talk to *** ********* ******** to answer for the damage caused to the van since his procedure did not take the correct precautions and damaged the transmission as a result of all this and lost days of work I still lose days because the van has not been able to be fixed and had to pay my work partner my money and had to be spending gasoline to go to his garage and that I live 1 hour and 20 minutes to his garage and had problems with my wife because he had to take his car to be able to find a solution to this problem but *** ********* ******** says that he is not going to be responsible for the damages that if I want we can reach an arrangement between the two but he will not pay anything since he did his job and I already made the decision to take the van to the dealer of the dodge so that they diagnose the van and tell me what the problem was but they say that if the man put the oil that was not and did

      Business response

      08/19/2022

      Dear *******:

I am writing on behalf of Alexander M*********** (“AM") to provide a response to your correspondence dated 7/26/22 regarding the following matter: Complaint ID ********.

As reflected in the receipt provided, ************** came to AM to repair an oil leak on his van: “Repair Oil Leak.”

To repair the oil leak, AM had to change/replace a gasket, change/replace one plug, change/replace the filter and replace the oil.

At all times material hereto, AM indicates that there was only a little bit of oil in the catch pan for the oil.

As reflected in the receipt provided, AM charged ************** $320.00 for parts ($190.00) and labor ($130.00).

After AMs work was completed, there was no longer any oil leak.

AM had nothing to do with ***********' voluntarily decision as indicated in his Complaint: he said that it was a minimal thing that he could repair but that he did not have time at that if I wanted to take the van on Monday, July 11, 2022 I continued working with the van on Saturday and Sunday as my last Delivery was in the Easton Area

If ***** did not want to wait until Monday and/or travel back to Easton, ************** should have taken the van to another mechanic.

As for the following allegations ... "I told my wife to pick me up for me leave the van at once where the mechanic called the mechanic Alexander M********* and I told him that I was nearby and that I was going to leave it in his company that day he told me that yes and we were going to call me in the morning but on Monday. July 11, 2022 in the morning when I saw that the man did not call me and did not answer me I decided to go see $2500...."

AM has no control over the decisions made between ************** and his wife.  Likewise, as reflected in the receipt, ************** only paid $320.00 for the work performed and the parts used so AM is completely unaware what the $2500.00 reflects.

As for the following allegations... "I tried to talk to Mr. Alexander M********** to answer for the damage caused to the van since his procedure did not take the correct precautions and damaged the transmission as a result of all this and lost days of work I still lose days because the van has not been able to be fixed and had to pay my work partner my money and had to be spending gasoline to go to his garage and that I live 1 hour and 20 minutes to his garage and had problems with my wife because he had to take his car to be able to find a solution to this problem but Mr. Alexander M********* says that he is not going to be responsible for the damages that if I want we can reach an arrangement between the two but he will not pay anything since he did his Job and I already made the decision to take the van to the dealer of the dodge so that they diagnose the van and tell me what the problem was but they say that if the man put the oil that was not and did."

AM has no idea what ************** is alleging.  If ************** was so concerned about traveling an hour and half to the AMs garage, he should have used a mechanic closer to his home.

In short, AM performed the subject matter work in a workmanlike manner and the oil leak was properly repaired.  As reflected in the receipt, ************** was charged with reasonable fees relating to parts used and labor expended for the repair.  AM has no idea what ************** did with the van after taking it from AMs garage.
