On June 21, 2021 we hired *** ******* to do roofing, soffit, fascia and window cladding. We paid Rob a total of 22,800.00. The window cladding is bascially strips of aluminum nailed around windows, which now pools water and our wood is going to rot. They removed all hardware from windows (29) and caulked the storm windows shut. Some of the soffit is cut to small and is sagging, some is just not done. We have spoke with Rob numerous times and he has made empty promises. He sent us a check for 850.00 on Oct 26, 2001. We did not cash. We then contacted Rob and told him this payment was unacceptable. We told him we were going to have to file complaints. He asked for 24 hours....Still have not heard from him. We told him we received 2 other quotes to have the work redone. We are going with the lowest from ******** ******** that come in at 6500.00Business response

In response to customer's statement:*** *** **** ***** hired me to install new roof and some soffit and fascia on house and garage. As the job progressed they had us replace more soffit and fascia around house and garage which we did as they requested. They asked to have all the exterior light fixtures replaced which we did as they requested. The day I met with *** to look at this project he asked to have brown aluminum wrapped on window frames on the front of house so they would color match one window that another contractor did that they had just fired. I explained to *** that I would not wrap window frames but would install aluminum on face of frames because in order to wrap frames they would have to be removed and cut down to except aluminum and would most likely break or get destroyed during removals. The windows are old original wood windows that are swelled from weather and have several coats of paint on them. I installed the aluminum to the face of frames on 4-5 windows on front of house. After completion of project I met with *** and **** for final payment and they were happy with the project and said they might have more work that they may want done inside the house at a later date. Approximately 2 months later I received a call from *** saying he did not like the aluminum on windows and that I needed to remove window frames and cut down, I reminded *** of our conversation in the beginning and that I would give them the money back for that portion of job so they could use that money towards finding another contractor that would be willing to remove the frames and cut down, which I did. They then called me back after receiving check and said it was not enough money and they were going to file a complaint or I could turn a claim into my insurance company.I have done several projects for *** and **** over the past few years and never had any issues.Customer response

Better Business Bureau:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I have provided 2 pictures to better illustrate my issues with the cladding job preformed by T's Consulting. The first picture labeled Requested Windoe Cladding shows 1 of 4 windows that were done by a previous contractor. The cladding was wrapped around the window frame and the storm window was trimmed to allow for the wrapped cladding. These 4 windows are fully functional. The second picture labeled Recieved Window Cladding shows the cladding installed by T's Consulting. The aluminum was not wrapped around the window frame instead, aluminum strips were cut and nailed to the outside face of the window. The strips are hanging over the storm window thus not allowing them to be removed, The storm window hanging hardware was removed and not replaced. The storm windows have been caulked shut. This has resulted in water pooling and leaking behind the cladding.
Rob and I discussed wrapping the outer frames and trimming the storm windows to allow for their removal and also replacing the hanging hardware before he submitted his quote. He agreed with the way the first 4 windows were done and I assumed he knew what was needed done. At no time during the work phase of this project was my wife or I approached by Rob or any of his sub-contractors about being afraid to "break" the storm windows if they were to be removed for trimming. I have lived in this house for over twenty years and have removed the storm windows may times and reinstalled them without any issues. The results of T's Consulting cladding are totally unsatifactory.
Regards,
******* *****
