On May 5, 2022, Gary of "Pools by Anderson" began installing our new liner in our above ground pool. During the installation, he tore a hole in the liner, by "kicking back" to get the liner in place. I was able to get a replacement liner quickly, from another pool supply source, at Gary's "cost". The difference in price for the new liner and the one we supplied is $410.94. The new liner is not of the same (best) quality, is not a "Unibead" (which has no overlap and is designed to fit into a grove) and is a much different design than what we purchased. The design is not as appealing to us, as our provided liner and we would never have chosen this design, but we had to have the liner installed immediately (to support the sidewalls) and had no choice, as our liner was out of stock at the place of purchase. We contacted the liner company for warranty coverage, but they stated that the tear was not the liner's quality defect as the seam is still intact (the only thing that is covered by the warranty), and therefore the pool installer is at fault and should file a claim with his insurance. (Additionally, the instructions clearly state the liner should be installed in 70+ temp and laid out in direct sun to soften the liner and make it pliable, to avoid damaging the liner. That day the temperature outside was in the 50's and drizzling.) On June 6th, we sent an email to Gary at Pools by Anderson requesting the balance of the pool liner cost to be reimbursed, and suggested he could file a claim with his liability insurance. Since then, I have contacted his office manager, Kristi D***** five times with a request for a call from Gary regarding this issue, or simply a payment of this difference. Each time, Kristi responded that she would notify Gary and apologized for the delay in not hearing from him. We still have not heard from Gary about this issue and feel we have been more than fair with our patience in trying to get some kind of response and resolution.
