I took a new 48" vanity to B**** & sons in Evan City PA be cut down to a 30". Rick B**** said it could be done & I left the vanity. The cost would be about $600 but it was $860 and the vanity was only 27". I found a countertop at Top it Off, which is in the same space & assoc. with B**** and made a downpayment of $3112, half of the quote. Before the vanity or countertops were complete, Rick B came to my house, not telling me that he was charging us $575 (only on 3/9 invoice) for visit. He said that he could set vanities & make a toe kick, I agreed. He said that he would like to show us what he could do and design a wall panel plan for the room. I agreed saying that I wanted the flush mount door hidden. On Mar.3 at ~9am he emailed me a plan (no costs attached) for the wall plan that did not meet conditions. His team were at my house that morning and incorrectly installed the vanity 1.5" from the wall and the toe kick which I said was not what I wanted. On Mar 6 I emailed Rick and said that I do not want a gap between the vanity and back wall or between the toe kick and right leg. He said they were done. I emailed him a plan to fix the toe kick. He sent me a bill for $ 3,636 which included the vanity work, $1,330 to install vanity (incorrectly) and $975 to reinstall it. On March 7 Rick emailed me saying he was ready to "wash his hands of the whole project", which was interpreted to mean he would not fix the vanity or toe kick and that the countertop ordered & half paid for- set to be installed the next week would be cancelled. This would set our project back months. On Mar 9 Rick sent me a revised bill for $3664 that added site visits by him ($575) and reduced the reinstallation fee from $975 to $575. On March 30 the counter tops were installed but cutouts for sinks were wrong, so they had to redo the piece. Next day that was installed & I got a new invoice for $6244 (price changes & new fees from quote) I gave them $3112. Last week they sent me bill for $112.66
