We have been unable to log on to our Apollo site several times. At least once, we were able to call though to them and were able to get on their site. But several times, we have been unable to get through to the site at all. Not only is their site unavailable to us, but their phone number says no longer in service. As a result, we have had to make other travel arrangements at least a half dozen times.We would like to have Apollo cancel our service for a refund of the remaining years of service that we have paid for.Business response

We are sorry to hear about ************************* experience and were completely unaware of any issues. To my knowledge our phone number has not changed since they purchased their membership in January of 2019 and our physical address has definitely not changed. We've been in the same location for over a decade. Since it has been more than 4 1/2 years, in order to resolve this properly **************** should provide a copy of their original contract via email to [email protected] or they can mail a hard copy to my attention, ************************* Apollo Adventures, ************************* West Pittston, ** ***** so we can determine which contact information is not working, and any renewal dates or fees which may impact their ability to access services. I will do everything within my power to resolve this issue if the ******* are members in good standing.
**** and ************************* attended a travel presentation on January 19, 2019 (see attachment A1). If you look at the Sales notes you will see that their membership was activated and their web training was completed. There are also notes to demonstrate that they were able to utilize our services. After the first year, all membership renewal fees go directly to the fulfillment company for continued concierge services, so Apollo Adventures has not collected any fees from the ******* since they signed their contract in January of 2019. **** and ************************* also attended another one of our presentations in July (see attachment B1). The marketing notes show that the ******* were already members and had no complaints at that time. This is far past our cancellation policy. Our Membership Purchase Agreement stipulates a 3 day rescission period from the day the contract is signed.
Our membership cancellation policy is typically outlined in CAPITALIZED AND BOLD type directly above the signature line of the contract on the Membership Purchase Agreement. Just above the cancellation clause is usually a paragraph that states the purchasers acknowledge and agree to all terms and conditions and have read all paragraphs/addendums, exhibits, schedules. A sales agent went over the Agreement with them and was prepared to answer any questions they may have asked when they attended the presentation. There are numerous ways the ******* could have notified us of their difficulties with the website. A simple ****** search brings up our website, ApolloAdventures.net where anyone can send us a message that can be returned in a timely manner.
Apollo Adventures Inc. honored the Agreement dated January 19, 2019 and provided Travel Club Membership along with the necessary materials, website training and licensing to utilize the Travel Club. If their contract was kept up to date, we can assure that their fulfillment company recognizes **** and ******************************* as members in good standing along with thousands of other satisfied members. We went to a meeting with this company, Apollo Adventures Inc and signed up for their services. After going home and doing reviews of this company, we called to cancel. We were told we would have to send a notice of cancellation letter within 72 hours, which we did. We have multiple emails from the company stating that they had received our letter in time, and they would be refunding us the entire amount that we had paid. ($4,999) . After many emails asking when we would be refunded our money they now say we should talk to our credit card company because they didn't charge us. We did talk to our credit card company and they said that companies like this will say anything to get away with things like this. And of course we were charged by the company. I will attach the part of our bank statement that shows we were charged by this company. Please help us get this resolved. We feel we have been taken advantage by a dishonest company. Please help us, if this company refuses to pay us what they owe us please tell me what we can do. If you know an attorney that will help please pass the info to me. Thank you so muchBusiness response

On June 27,2022 *************************** was contacted and told Apollo Adventures Inc. has confirmed that she has cancelled her membership in a timely manner and will be refunded through our merchant account $4,995.00. On June 28, 2022, today we electronically sent the refund info. to our merchant account and it is being processed. ********************* should receive notification that the refund is occurring. ********************* was advised that if a problem occurs with the refund through our merchant account she is to contact our office and we will rectify the problem. One way or another ********************* will be refunded.

My wife and I took the 1:30 PM tour on Friday, December 17, 2021. We became members and were promised to be setup the next day on Saturday to access our web portal to RSI Vacation. This was acceptable because there was a 3 day right of recission clause preceding the signatures. The representative called on Saturday to say he was booked up for that day and so we agreed on Sunday at Noon MST. Of course, with no live agents on the weekend, this pushed our ability to call an Agent that afternoon until Monday morning, 12/20/2021. We desired to be convinced that Apollo Adventures, Inc and *** ********* were legitimate and could truly bring savings for future vacation planning. The only way to accomplish that was to take the orientation and try the membership within the 3 day recission period. The membership number in the contract is #****** and purchase price was $3995.00.After the orientation on Sunday, we began to plan a trip that matched the one we had just obtained quotes. We had to call an Agent Monday morning to give him the details and work on the quote. By early afternoon the quote came back substantially higher than we obtained on our own. So, we promptly wrote a letter to give intention to cancel. This was sent by ***** and arrived Tuesday afternoon, December 21, 2021. A call was placed to them earlier to inform them that it was coming. On Wednesday, December 22, 2021, I called again and spoke several times with a Barry L********, who wanted to deduct their orientation setup fee of $695. The recission clause does not speak of any deductions when the letter is sent within the 3 days. ***** spoke to the owner, who offered to deduct the $695 and we try it out for a year. We declined and he said he would return our $3995.00.When we returned home from vacation, a check was in the mail for $3400.00! That is $595.00 less than we had agreed! We want a refund of our remaining $595.00.Business response

***************************** and his wife purchased a Vacation Membership on December 17, 2021 for $3,995.00. **************, agreed to and received Website Traioning and Licensing, which was completed on Dec, 19,2021, and became a Licensed Member with authorization to access the Vacation/TYravel website. After receipt of Training and Licensing ************** sent a letter to cancel membership. During a telephone conversation with **************, Dec.22,2021, he was told a refund would be sent to him less a fee for the Training and Licensing he received. He was offered to remain a Vacation Club member for one year, to try it out, for the deducted fee which was $595.00. Later, on Dec. 22, ************** called and advised he didn't want the Vacation Club Membership. On Dec. 27, 2021 a refund check #**** for $3,400.00 was sent to **************.
This is the first time we knew of a BBB complaint from **************. If we would have know earlier, we would have responded. We have responded to other agencies regarding this matter and since a refund was sent considered this matter closed. We now ask the BBB to consider this matter Satisfactorily Closed.

After further review of the complaint, an error was made in the calculation of the refund forwarded to **************.We have forwarded a check, for $595.00, dated Mar. 2, 2022. This $595.00 along with the $3,400.00 previouslyforwarded constitutes a full refund of $3,995.00. With the full refund provided, we respectfully ask that the complaint be considered satisfied.Customer response
