Damage Claim due to food spoilage $150.00 June 5, 2023 I lost electricity to my home for approximately 16 1/2 hours due to a line hit during a replacement of water lines. I contacted Jason, Project Mgr. for Chivers on 6/6. He told me a line was mismarked and I should contact Penelec or the water department. It was not their problem. Penelec reference ********** Received letter from them9/19/23 BCS *** ******* stating they have no jurisdiction over damage claims. Contacted Ron C********** at Erie Water Works on 6/7. He said he needs to decide who is at fault. 6/19 he advised nothing on their end. They weren’t going to do anything. That’s when I contacted the PUC Complaint ********* Someone should be responsible for this mistake. Please advise.Business response

We are in receipt of BBB complaint *********
I apologize for the inconvenience and loss of food, however this electric line hit is the fault of PENELEC/First Energy.
Chivers Construction is not at fault.
Attached is a copy of our violation report that explains how the electric line was not marked properly.
