      I moved into the Ridley Brook apartments on February 10, 2023 and was told we had to have all of the money before moving in. We gave them the money and moved in. Before we moved in, I stated this apartment should be cleaned before me and my family move in. They stated it would be and it is ready to move in. When I moved in, the cabinets were dirty and had spiderwebs in every cabinet. The oven was filthy and still is filthy. The floors were not cleaned and dusty. The refrigerator was dirty and missing the cover for the butter. The dishwasher did not work and needed to be given a new piece, the microwave had dead bugs in it. The stove was not cleaned. One socket has a piece in it from the previous resident. The air conditioners are dusty, have build up, and duct tape on it. We have killed several roaches coming from under the heater. The heaters are dusty and not cleaned. The walls are dirty and cracking. It looks like there may be mold in the bathroom. A piece from the mirror is off in the bathroom. There is a crack in the bathroom door. The floors and vents are dusty. The tub and shower is rusty and peeling. I do not feel comfortable washing my children in that tub so they wash by the sink. The sink even is dirty.  Nothing was cleaned when I moved in and I haven’t had a washer and dryer since I moved in. The washer and dryer was supposed to be new but it wasn’t. I have to wash clothes somewhere else and that’s ridiculous. I still have no washer and dryer until this day. I have to get my father to have someone come inspect for mold and to clean thoroughly. Me and my children have asthma and been sick since we moved in here. We paid for the rent and haven’t had a washer and dryer so I’m confused why we were charged for the amenities. While sweeping my floors, I found an eye lash in the floorboard. The washer leaked all over my carpet where me and my children sleep and now it’s a mildew smell and that’s a health concern. Something needs to be done. Nothing was CLEAN.

      Thank you for reaching out to us. ***** toured apartment ***** before the move in date or signed the lease.  The day after move in she  did have some cleaning issues that she advised us of but we did address those. The washer and dryer was not working when she moved in. We tried to have it serviced twice but when that did not resolve the issue the WD unit was replaced. I have credited ************ $120.00 for the 2 months the washer and dryer unit did not work. Unfortunately  the hose did come loose on the new WD and did leak onto the carpet. We immediately  cleaned up the water and then had the carpets shampooed for her. She did express that the odor was still there so we have advised her that we will be treating the sub floor and removing the padding. Once the treatment is complete we will then replace the padding,  I have also called ************ to discuss the other issues she has listed because i was not aware of them but have yet to receive a response form her.  I asked her when a good time would be for me to come over to inspect the other issues in the apartment. We had thought the initial issues she brought up were taken care of due to the work order being closed and ************ not reaching out to the office to advise things were not taken care off.  Once I hear back from *********** I will make sure any outstanding issues are resolved for her.
