We stayed at this hotel because there was nothing else available , it was a little scary because there were mixed reviews; we arrived early and it was nice to check in early , the room was decent although sheets had stains , windows dirty , furniture dirty although the room smelled clean, they had a soccer amd baseball kin of thing going on for kids , so we stayed all rooms were booked everywhere else, when the groups left all the garbage at the end of the floors were not picked up for 2 days the floor smelled, beer cans left , the back door where only guess can access lock was broken so anyone can go in, we left my phone on the bed on the 28th when we were heading out because it was family time when we came back the phone was gone, we went several times to the front desk and always had a sign " will be back in 10 min" , I guess it should read 10 hrs., we finally were able to tell someone that came to ask if we needed something before she was done for the day while we were in the pool, My wofe told her about the phone and she said it could nor be and will contact the house keeper and we never heard from anyone again. This was my work phone and has cost me time and money not planned.Initial Complaint

July 1- July 4 we stayed in this hotel.I stayed in this hotel for 4 consecutive days with no housekeeping services despite us requesting it every day. No fresh towels, no toilet paper, and no soap daily. The toilet seat moved. When we checked in they did NOT tell us about the free continental breakfast. The manager checked us into a hotel where pets were allowed despite us requesting a non pet friendly hotel. There is nothing on the website that says pets are allowed. On Saturday, July 2 the hotel was without power for over 5 hours. The manager did not provide us with answers or water. He told us the power company was working on it at 7pm. When I spoke to the power company, they did not even know there was a problem until 8:30pm. The manager lied.Business response

The reservations were made online for the Eisenhower Hotel, which is pet friendly hotel. Somehow the guest did not notice this while making a reservation. Upon arrival, they noticed a dog in the lobby. They requested to change a room to next door hotel due to pet allergies. The ******, which is our hotel located next door, does have no pet policy. They were immediately moved to the ******, assigned a much nicer room at no additional charge.
Due to Covid-19, we no longer provide room service, or give extra towels, toilet paper, soap bars etc. These items are available upon request from Front Desk staff. They received replacement items based on their requests. All guests are informed of this policy upon check-in.
We have signs posted at each front desk advising guests of the times and locations of the complimentary breakfast. These guests did avail themselves of this amenity. We care very much about how our guests are treated, and do not agree with this complaint, as we did keep them informed whenever we were asked about any issues within the building.
The hotel lost power one day for approximately six hours. that was act of god, our of our control.. as we received updates from the electric company and passed this information along to our guests who inquired about the status/updates.
Water stations were provided, as well as bags of ice, to anyone who requested it. Guests who decided to check out during the power outage were all given a refund for that night. However, as is stated in the guests complaint, they opted to stay until July 4.
We are willing to give a complimentary night towards a future stay to anyone who experienced these inconveniences, but were not satisfied. We apologize if this customer was not fully satisfied.Initial Complaint

We had a reservation here and when we arrived to the room there were holes in the wall, carpet, and no lights. We asked for a new room and they gave us one which had spiders crawling from the ceiling. We asked them not to charge our credit card as we would not be staying there and they ended up charging our card. They will not answer our phone calls and they continue to hang up on us.Initial Complaint

I booked a stay at the Eisenhower Hotel & Conference Center for a wedding. Checked in May 12, 2022, checked out May 15, 2022. The hotel was an absolute disappointment. The number one complaint is the rooms had bed bugs. I had several bites from the bed bugs. There was blood stains on the sheets. There was blood dried on the mirror and counter in the men's bathroom. The hotel itself stunk like garbage. The pool area was very disgusting, film floating in the pool. The grass outside at the go karts was all grown out, the go karts was not operating. That should of been mentioned on the site. I booked last minute for my cousins wedding and am very unsatisfied/disappointed with this hotel. I had to throw away all of my belongings packed due to the bed bugs. I had to attend a wedding with bug bites from my stay. This is absolutely unacceptable!Initial Complaint

Reservation was made Friday, April 22 for a one night stay at The Eisenhower Hotel. Confirmation **********. The reservation was made for a king size bed, double adult occupancy. We arrived at the hotel and notice the lack of upkeep to the lawns which were all overgrown. The Pennsylvania State flag was frayed, torn and very faded. Blinds in the windows were tangled and a few were missing. Not a good first impression. Not at all how it looked online. We went into the lobby to find a woman at the checking with a sloppy pony tail, and an unprofessional very casual outfit. We were exhausted and just wanted to get to our room. Apparently it was Greyhound race dogs weekend as there were numerous people walking their dogs through the outside as well as in the halls. We finally got to our room to be thoroughly disappointed yet again. The room had 2 queen beds. The pillows were in sad shape, the carpet was sticky and dirty looking and smelled. The room was dark and dismal and had a damp musty and wet dog odor. I went to the bathroom to get a shower only to find the semi circle shower curtain rod was barely held into the broken tile wall and the rod was looped down like a letter U instead of bowed out in a semi circle shape. The grout was either missing or dirty looking. The bottom of the tub also looked old and dirty. There was NO way I was about to get in that shower. I then turned around to wash my face at the sink only to find the caulking along the wall which would seal the sink to the wall was missing and cracked. The sink looked like it was barely secured to the wall. Another issue was the chain lock was missing. The chain was there, but nothing to attach it to. I gave up and went to bed. The back door entries were all unlocked and open to anyone with no security at all. We went for coffee and breakfast that was supposed to be available. No luck! No food at 630 a.m. and the 1 coffee container served cold coffee. I am asking for a full refund.Initial Complaint

Jan 1, 2022. $67.69 We purchased a hotel room. We stay here frequently. My son kept smelling pee and we didn't know why. He's 8. At 11:30 we find he flips his pillow to dried yellow pee. Dried pee on the floor with dog prints. The staff offered us a new pillow but then changed our room. The room was not cleaned due to short staff. Was supposed to hear form manager. Did not. called in and was hung up on and then she would not answer again. Not sure if we should contact the health dept or who. Covid is ramped up. Dog or cat was in that room and it was not cleaned. We expect to speak with a manager and compensation. Disgusting. Who has their employees not change the sheets.Initial Complaint

During my stay at the Eisenhower Complex, I sustained numerous insect bites that were diagnosed by my family healthcare provider as bed bug bites. I stayed at the hotel during an event from October 24-28, 2021. I changed rooms and checked out a day early as a result of the problem. I reported the issue at the time and called upon return to my home on November 2, 2021 speaking to the manager, Mr. B****** to report the problem and request a partial refund of the $1,188.81 totally paid during my stay. He said he would discuss with someone and get back to me. After not hearing back, I called an additional 6 times leaving messages and have not had calls returned. I believe the problem should be addressed by disinfecting the rooms and replace bedding. Additionally, I believe some type of restitution should be paid or refunded.
