Since ***** from ***************************** ****** will not respond to my request for reimbursement of our Vet **** ($130) after leaving our 11 month old English Labrador with her state of the ********** for 1 week ($430) and telling me at check out she has a couple hot spots you may want to keep your eye out for. I then asked what are hot spots and could she please show me what these are, she took me out the back door and got upset with me for telling her this was not acceptable care and my dog has never had this issue before and she is almost 1 years old. She stated we have had a lot of rain this past week and dogs get hot spots and walked away to take care of her other customers. I called my Vet immediately on the way home as my 12 year old son was crying cause he could tell something was wrong and could feel patches of crusted areas on her back. I got my dog into the Vet the next am, and she had to be shaved, received a steroid injection, 10 days of antibiotics three times a day, and Gentacalm spray for the itching and discomfort. I have since had to buy more spray for these areas and it has now been over a month and the patches are healing and her fur are growing back but very slowly. I have sent the Vet bills and medical records to ***** as requested with no response except for her stating this was not their fault. I asked my Vet her thoughts and she felt they should at least pay for the Vet ****. I am not sure if others have had been experiences here, but I wanted to tell my story so that others are aware. This experience has caused my family great stress and I can only imagine what stress it has caused my dog. I will never got to this place again for any services and I am telling as many of my friends as possible. I am quite appalled that professional business people that have cared for dogs for 20 years would not take responsibility for my dog acquiring hot spots in their care and not call us and inform us as I am sure they know that left untreated hot spots can become infected as this was the case for our dog. If ***** and her staff did not notice my dogs hot spots and or her itching and biting them until the day I picked her up which is what she is claiming, I would question the care my dog received or did not receive. I even paid for extra yard time.
