I hired Storeyline to create a resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn facelift. I was supremely disappointed with all three services. The business is marketed as targeting executives, but I severely question this based on what I received. Their process includes an initial conversation to discuss their process. Shane on me for not confirming their refund policy. The next call (2 weeks later) is a 45 minute interview with someone who is not ultimately the person who will write your resume. The notes from that call and your original resume are used by someone else to write your resume. My initial draft include saying I was adept at the main job function Ive completed for the last 17 years and it was very clear that the person I was working with was not knowledgeable about my industry. After multiple revisions I called the company to request a new resume writer. The person who answers the phone cannot actually help you beyond asking someone else to email you to schedule a call (a week later). They did grant my request but made it very clear they never issue refunds after a first draft is given. Ultimately I ended up writing 85% of my resume and agreeing that is was complete so I could move on. I then received a cover letter that is the most generic possibly AI generated cover letter ever written. They did not use my original cover letter at all and it does not represent me in any way other than having my name on it. The LinkedIn makeover recommendation was essentially them taking what was on the resume I wrote and copying and pasting it into recommended sections. I am highly disappointed and consider this a complete waste of money.Review from Jenna M

After submitting a current version of my resume and having a conversation with someone to review my strengths and goals, I received a poorly written version with glaring spelling and grammar issues in return. I had a candid but pleasant phone call with someone to express my concerns which, after explanation and review of the work product, were shared. I felt confident there would be a course correction but the second round was just as bad as the first. I emailed my concerns once again and asked for at least a partial refund (more than fair given the service) and was reminded I signed documentation forfeiting any refunds once a certain stage of work had been done. There was an Im confident we can get it right line, but that was the last I heard (a little over three months ago). I no longer require a resume writing service, but still feel foolish having wasted over $800. I should have done better research. Good luck to those searching for a new role. Its tough out there and I recommend investing in your career search elsewhere.Review from Jose R

Can I give zero stars? Dont be a fool. Dont believe what you read on LinkedIn or here. My experience with them was so TRAUMATIC (provided feedback way too many times) and at the end I had to pay another person to do an entire rework. Can I get an apology plus a refund? I reached out to the team for an Executive Package in December 2023. After my first call and submitting my resume, LinkedIn profiles, and target roles, the first draft was nowhere close to reflecting my experience, positioned me as an expert in which I have no relevant experience, and used jargon that was not natural or in my voice. I worked with their team to make these corrections, and the second draft was slightly improved but required a great effort from me to provide feedback. After a lengthy exchange, we agreed to a partial refund at the start of April. By late April, they confirmed they had sent a request for my refund. I followed up twice in May with zero response on my refund. At the start of June, they responded and said they couldn't process it since it was past 60 days on my credit card and asked for my PayPal to wire the partial refund, which I shared. It's been two weeks, there are no funds, and they have not responded to my emails asking for confirmation that the wire has been processed. This company is preying on unemployed individuals who need help and cannot deliver. They cannot even deliver upon a mutually agreed term when pressed for a refund. ***** uses her LinkedIn profile to post content that emotionally manipulates people into being a trusted voice who can help. When her team cannot deliver, they do not live up to their word.Review from Eric Z

When I first started looking for a resume-writing service, I had my doubts, especially with some of the negative feedback. However, Storeyline quickly put my mind at ease. From the very beginning, their communication was excellent, and they were always prompt in their responses.My resume writer was an incredible listener and took all of my feedback to heart. I used Storyline in April to revamp my resume for a career change from a Registered Nurse to a Director of Nursing position. It was a night and day difference!I tried writing my own resume, but getting past the software programs felt impossible. Plus, transitioning between such different roles within the healthcare field was a challenge I couldn't seem to tackle on my own.The whole process incredibly smooth. They clearly explained everything upfront, and whenever I had questions, they responded promptly and thoroughly.The initial interview was fantastic. She took the time to understand my career goals and accomplishments, helping me articulate how my nursing experience translated to director-level skills.My resume writer was amazing! Reviewing the reviews it looks like you either get great service or terrible service. Unfortunately, after I asked about a dozen reviews of the resume that I was provided, I decided to call it a day and chalk it up as a loss. At the first meeting, I could tell that the individual didn't even want to have this conversation. After about the fourth or fifth time going back and forth, I was frustrated. The amount of money you pay and the service you get is not worth it. It's not worth your time and definitely not worth the money. I am unsure if this individual has a few teams working for her, but I would say you want the team to which the other half of these individuals give rave reviews. If not, you will be in this group. If your customer comes back three times or more, maybe pick up the phone and discuss how things are progressing and get further clarification. I am pretty sure they place your information into an AI program and let it do the work. Save yourself time and money and go elsewhere. I hoped to give a great review, however this time it just isn't in the cards. I have not used their resume. A lesson learned and I am very happy for everyone who received the services they paid for.Review from PZ Z

I have used Storyline for a new resume, coaching, and resume update. The end product is excellent! My original resume was doing nothing until it was updated and then came the interview and job offers. A top-notch company!
