I purchased for my son to go on washington dc trip. He was unable to go and the trip was cancelled a week before. We purchased the trip mate cancel for any reason insurance that you offered and got the run around trying to file it and they denied it for no reason. It’s supposed to be a guaranteed refund for no reason necessary. I want a refund of this trip. If Scholastica wants to offer insurance through this fraudulent company then I hold them responsible.Business response

Thank you for sharing your feedback regarding your insurance claim. We certainly want to confirm that the insurance company we are partnering with is delivering on their promises. Scholastica Travel Inc reached out to TripMate regarding your claim. Please find the attached explanation showing the payment amount of $502.50, not $0.00 as communicated to the Better Business Bureau. We understand that this may have been filed with the BBB before the response from TripMate was received on 5/8/2023. We kindly ask that you revise/discard your complaint in light of receiving the payment per the insurance policy.

3/13/2023 claim initiated
3/13/2023 claim mail received
3/16/2023 received Trip Information
3/17/2023 Trip Mate sent request for Attending Physician’s Statement (APS) to be completed in full. Also request states that the records on file states the reservation is not cancelled.
3/20/2023 call from mother stated she didn’t want to provide APS however she will submit
4/6/2023 emailed over copy of request to family
4/11/2023 mother called and wanted claim processed under Cancel For Any Reason
4/11/2023 request to family stating the info on file states the reservation is not cancelled.
4/13 and 4/14/2023 claim form noted as received
5/2/2023 cancel for any reason payment entered
5/4/2023 cancel for any reason payment printed
5/8/2023 received email from family and we sent a copy of the explanation of benefits to familyCustomer response
