Owner Discriminates against Service Animals in his store. I recently went to shop there and was all but assulted by the owner because I had my service dog with me in the store. No one was in the store when my friend and I went in, and we were shopping. My dog was walking beside me like he does in all of the stores, the owner didn't even know he was with me until I was ready to check out and then he flipped on me saying that he does not allow any dogs in the store. I tried to tell him that he is my service dog, and that he has a federal license. He yelled at me to leave with my dog. So I left my cart and went outside. My friend tried to educate him about the law and the owner yelled that he didn't care about the law, he didn't want any dogs leaving dander in his store. So she left her cart and left the store too. It would be a lot different if he hadn't been so nice earlier while we were shopping, he was talking to my friend about the weather, I have a dachshund, so I guess he's too little to notice until checkout? But he changed his colors super quick and was the rudest person I have ever encountered. He just didn't care. He needs to understand that there is a reason people have a service dog with them, and they are at times very important to survival if something happens to that person. My dog is not an **** he is a Service Dog, he has duties to perform and is on duty 24 hours a day, even when he isn't 'working', my dog is working.
