Well unfortunately I can not actually give a kind or good review because after a month and a half I'm still waiting for the job I paid for to be finished up! Now not real good for your business to treat consumers in this way! Remember word of mouth means alot. Soon I'm going to have to get mean and start a social media rampage. Hopefully this will end up a happy celebration for me!Review from Ron G

Had my prepaid A/C service done, was told the capacitor was bad, I asked how much it would be and he said $294. They were already here, so that should've eliminated and service charge, should not have been any truck or trip fees, I have a maintenance agreement with them as well as being a senior! The part is a $20 part and it took 10 minutes to replace it, be careful with this company because their prices are ridiculously high and higher than most other companies! Customers are not 1st with this company!! I was quoted by 2 other companies that would have had a service charge along with other fees and they were still significantly lower!Review from Robin K

Very unhappy with cost of repair. Charged my 90 yo father $362.73 for replacement of cartridge for handle faucet and they don't itemize bill. Looked up part cost and $60.00 - why the $300 charge for the work when he was only there 20 minutes. Father had no email however never sent invoice although he did sign the tablet for the work. Would never use a company that will not itemize their labor / parts so that you know what you are paying for. Will never use again ever.Review from Anbu M

They're cheating. I had a water leakage from my water heater. When I called them, I was told the only option is to replace. Technician shut off heat water to house and electricity to water heater reasoning that it is dangerous otherwise we might get electrocuted and as per the guideline he has to do it and left us without hot water and the only option for me was to accept the quote he gave to replace water heater. I had no doubt about their service up until this point.Later the following week, I called them to check on my AC unit because I felt it was noisier during last summer. Technician directly came to my furnace unit and wanted to check that as well. I said ok. After checking he said he noticed a crack in the outlet and CO level is higher and it needs to be immediately replaced. He gave me quote for few more thousand dollars and he shut off gas line to furnace reasoning the same: it is dangerous and as per the guidelines he has to do it. At this point, something triggered I told NO to his quote and did not go with replacement. He shut off the gas line to furnace and left. After that I called *********, they found no CO leakage and no crack on the same spot where HL Bowman said there was a crack. To my surprise, the technician from HL Bowman disconnected some wires inside the unit and turned of inside switch as well without informing me all these things what he did inside the unit. When technician from ********* opened the unit, he found all these and fixed them.I feel HL Bowman is scaring people with life/death situation and earning money out of people's fear.Review from Everett H

Worst experience. Was told my heater had a crack and needed to be repaired ($6000) or replaced ($10000+) immediately. Technician also asked me if I was married and would my husband be home to help make the decision. Are you kidding me???? Brought in a different highly recommended person from another company. No crack. Simple clogged tubing. Terrible, money-grabbing company. Would give 0 stars if I could.Review from Michele G

Very unprofessional! Spoke with so many people and my hole in my wall is still not fixed! Let blood in my bathroom, dirt on my carpet, dark spot on my carpet, left stool and cover of my fire alarm off and on stool, used my toilet, it was still running when I came home. Black marks on my front door. My porch was a mess. Furniture wasn’t put back, dirt and old parts left on my porch. Dented my new outdoor candle.Review from Jessica R

First issue the tech never showed up and then called and said he was an hour away (this was after 5pm). Second issue when a tech did show up he said it was the compressor which is less than 2 years old. Third issue they were saying it’s not under warranty but it is. Fourth issue for 2 weeks they didn’t return my calls even though when I called them they kept saying the service manager would call me back. They emailed me an invoice when I called them for the 3rd time. Fifth issue after 2 weeks and finally getting some answers they said it would be another week until the parts arrived. They wasted 2 weeks not calling me back and now have to wait another week for parts. Their customer service is horrible and they truly don’t care. Don’t waste your money with this company.Review from Kathleen J

AVOID this company unless you want to pay $$$$$. I phoned the company requesting someone come out to replace a toilet seal. I was told by Natalie that the initial visit would cost $70, and an assessment would be made by the service person as to additional charges. Matt Chubb, the service person, removed the toilet and looked at the seal, a green ring around the floor. He gave me an estimate at that time of $391. I had already purchased an extra thick toilet seal from Home Depot for $15. Matt pushed down through the old seal and said that he would have to replace the toilet flange and gave me another estimate of what I thought was $500. I could not see the actual amount on the IPad he used. He said he would also have to chip away at the tile around the hole, which I heard him doing. Whether or not he actually replaced the flange, I do not know. He did use the toilet seal I had purchased. He did not take pictures of his work. When i went to pay the bill, it was for $1051.39, which included a MVP plan to guarantee the work for 5 years. This cost 0f $59.50 was never discussed and would have to be paid yearly(?) to continue the guarantee. I only saw it in an email invoice sent after Matt left. He was here for less than 1.5 hours (work time only 1 hr. at most). i phoned the company after Matt left and asked for an itemized bill. Rick, in the office, said that all their jobs were done on a flat rate, but didn't say what that was for a toilet seal replacement. I asked to speak to a supervisor. Rick said "Joe" would get back to me. I have not heard from anyone from the company. I was grossly overcharged for the job that was done, and left with no guarantee without paying an additional fee that it will last. HL Bowman does NOT conduct business with any integrity, inflates costs way above and beyond the actual work done. They should NOT have a BBB rating of any kind.Review from Krystak S

$75 for them to come out to check everything out and diagnose. That was fine! He goes in the garage and checks everything out. Tells me he will need to cut into our drywall. Says it will be $600. Didn't really give me any other choices. He legit cut maybe a 12 in by 12 in square and stopped. First of all, if I would have known that was all he was going to do was do that little hole, I would have done that myself! The way he made it seem was that he was going to have to take a lot more out. He found a beehive and then stopped. Said he couldn't diagnose the issue due to the bees. He was only there for 30 minutes. We are still being charged the $600 for him to cut the very small hole in our drywall and we still have the leak!!!! This is absolutely ridiculous since we still do not know what the issue is! DO NOT USE THEM!
