5 starsWe love Paw & Order! Their staff is wonderful, and their methods work, and their facilities are pristine. ****** was our trainer and she was so wonderful. Our pup Bean needed a lot of obedience training, leash training, and socialization. Each ****** was very carefully curated to specific training goals, and she provided us with very clear instructions for homework and practice between ******s. She was a great listener and really aimed at understanding ****** behaviors. She even did a combined ****** with our family's dog which they were really impressed with! I absolutely will recommend Paw & Order to any and all of our friends and family who need help with their own pups. Thank you!Review fromAmber K

Trainer ***, in the beginning, seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. We had discussed what was required and went over a plan for my reactive gsd who had been attacked. What changed my mind about continuing to proceed with ***.1) My dog barking at a noise outside the door = "fear of unknown" to her.2) Contacting my vet for his medical records when I provided all the required paperwork needed.3) Wanted me to get my dog additional vaccines that were not required in the contract, plus my vet and techs recommend NOT getting them for my dog.4) has multiple "formerly severely aggressive" pitbulls that would be sharing the same space with my dog with ZERO medical records or anything given to me to know what my dog was going to be around or exposed to.5) Stressed how they are such a Veteran friendly/supporting place and I never recieved any discount or anything off what my total would have ******* greatful that I decided after she called my vet that I decided to go somewhere else that also had knowledge/schooling in animal Behavior and gave a completely different training plan for my dog that worked out so much better and that I got to go visit and do lessons with, not just see a short video clip of him.Paw & Order Dog Training

This review is for our Westmoreland location, not Pittsburgh. But we asked them to respond and here is their response: Thank you for your review. We understand that there was some miscommunication regarding Leo's training 5 months ago. We attempted to clear up that communication, but we never received a reply. We would like to address some of your concerns. 1. Living in an apartment complex, where people come and go, can be very stressful for a lot of dogs. Leo is not able to see out of your door making some dogs even more uncomfortable when others living in the building are coming and going. I spent 2 hours with you during the evaluation and was only able to observe the behavior once. During that observation, Leo's body posture and behavior before, during, and after the event of your neighbor coming home were stemming from uncertainty and fear. 2. I never contacted your vet for Leo's medical records. I mentioned the documentation that you provided only showed that you paid for a fecal test. It did not show the results. My wording was "If I were you, I would just call them and ask them to email you the results." It has always been the owner’s responsibility to provide us with all updated records. 3. All the required vaccinations were discussed during the initial evaluation and outlined in the training agreement you signed at the evaluation. You never mentioned any concerns or hesitations about some of the vaccines. In fact, Leo was up to date on everything except kennel cough and flu vaccines. You got his kennel cough vaccine and then mentioned that since he did not have his flu vaccine be would not be caught up before his scheduled time to start training. I had texted saying that was ok, but if he showed any symptoms while he was with me, he would need to be picked up right away and you were okay with that. 4. The way this is written makes it sound like I would be having your dog fully integrated into my "formerly aggressive" dogs, which was not the case. However, they would all be in the same home and share the same potty locations. I require vaccines and clean fecal to ensure all dogs are kept healthy. I wouldn't put a client’s dog or any of my dogs in jeopardy, so they are all up to date on vaccines and routinely get fecal tests done. If this was a concern, I wish you would have asked me for their records. I would have happily shared them with you. 5. We appreciate everything our military, police, and first responders do for our country and communities. Unfortunately, our business was open for less than a year and was not offering any type of discount at that time. I did, however, attempt to provide you with as much help as I could in the way I structured your dog’s training. I scheduled him to start his stay & train the week after our evaluation because you had shoulder surgery and expressed your concerns about not being able to walk Leo with his reactivity. Most prospective students are waiting 1-2 months to start training. I also offered to pick him up for you as opposed to you driving him to me. And I did not collect any money for the evaluation or a deposit for his training, even though most other clients are required to. Since you had already spent so much money on other trainers, who you said you were not happy with as well, I offered a hybrid program, which I don't offer to everyone. This would have saved you over $2,000. That program allows me to work with Leo through most of his behaviors and finish with 3 private lessons with you to make sure you were confident with the plan in place for him. Unfortunately, you never brought these concerns or questions directly to me and canceled his training the night before he was scheduled. I am happy you found help for you and Leo and wish you the best in your training journey with him.Review fromAntonio B

5 stars****** at paw and order was great to work with. Having two new pups, she best catered the training to, not only helping them 1-on-1 but also helping me with training both of them at the same time. They are totally different pups from the start tell now. I would recommend paw & order to anyone and already have been.Review fromMartha S

5 starsOur dog was pretty well trained with the exception of walks. He would express his nervousness as what others would see as aggression. Through failed attempts on our own we finally decided to go with Paw and Order to help us out. Now we know the tricks to help our dog walk nicely on a leash and ignore other dogs. We like having our trainer a phone call or text way if we should need her again. We also like all the gatherings we can now be a part of to continue our training. Would highly recommend Paw and Order to anyone who needs some assistance with training!Review fromCarol H

5 starsWe were having a great deal of trouble training our lab to walk on a loose leash. Our goal was to have ***** walk loose leash with a flat collar. ***** accepted all other training well but her nose was her downfall on a walk. She became so distracted by the smells that it was impossible to keep her on task. The Paw and Order trainer did an amazing job of training ***** and me. She helped me understand how best to communicate with ***** and how to address distraction. In just three training sessions we were enjoying our walks without pulling. Best of all, the trainer met us at the places we actually walk, ensuring that we could work on *****s skills in the environments where she would spend the most time. I highly recommend Paw and Order!Review fromMalia H

5 starsAfter the passing of our beloved male german shepherd, we didnt want his sister to be alone so we added two male GSK puppies to our home. Our older female didnt accept them and became extremely aggressive to the point where we didnt know if we could keep the puppies for their safety. We immediately called Paw & Order theyre expertise in training not only aggressive dog behavior, but also introducing training to the puppies was AMAZING and a lifesaver we couldnt have done this training and/or correctly on our own. It wasnt long before all three dogs were interacting and responding to positive reinforcement and exhibiting wonderful behavior alone and together. The dogs actually enjoyed their training days and would look up at us as if asking whats next?. Our trainer, **************, became a complimentary family member who made sure we not only understood the training tactic but also our dogs behavior, and why they would respond or show resistance. Absolute professionals and experts! I would recommend Paw & Order over and over again, every training evident was monumental and we continue to use our training skills every day. Now we have three, large wonderful german shepherds who pleasantly interact together, are people/animal friendly, and listen. Clearly one of the most rewarding experiences Ive had.- ***********************Review fromSam D
