Relative died & left me her baby grand piano. Was recommended to use this company for move. Spoke to Bryan with regard to moving the piano from my relative’s apartment in Cherry Hill, NJ (hi-rise w/freight elevator) to my condo in NE Philadelphia (3-story walk up). At the same time, they would move my spinet into our condo social room (ground floor, near my unit). Bryan quoted me $600 for the baby grand and $250 for the spinet, for a total of $850. I also called ***** Piano Moving Service, a comparable moving company, who quoted me the exact same price. Price was identical so I chose the recommended company. The move was scheduled for Friday, May 26. On the day of the move, at completion, the movers gave me a bill for $100 more than I was quoted - $950 instead of $850. No one was reachable on the phone to discuss at that point, but I paid the full amount because I expected this error would be straightened out. The moves went well, although after the movers left, I found a 3-inch chunk of wood near the outside stairs of my building that was broken off from the wood pedal base of the baby grand. The following week of May 29, I called & spoke to Ray about the overcharge. He told me he didn't know why the amount was different than what was quoted, but did not offer to find out any details. I called again that week & Ray finally told me he would ask Bryan to call me the following week. Bryan called me on Monday, June 6 & told me he had quoted me the wrong price, although he did not provide any explanation for the difference in cost. I asked for a refund of my $100 overpayment. Bryan told me he would see what he could do by the end of the week and would call me by Friday. He never called. I wrote to the president of the company Charles O***** and never had the courtesy of a reply from him either. All conversations were recorded and saved on my answering machine. I want a refund of the $100 I was overcharged.Business response

We're issuing a check in the amount of 100.00 dollars to the customer per her request. check being issued on July 3rd 2022.
Estimates are provided based solely on information provided by the customer, pricing is based on the lead time provided, type, style, distance and stairway steps required to complete the services of moving each piano. our pricing is posted on our website and cost of services is available for a customer to fill out a form that will provide the cost based on the information entered by the customer. Variations in estimates might occur if additional labore is needed to safely provide the service due to difficult and narrow areas.
this refund is a good will reimbursement not an overpayment/charge to the customer.
