Mountainview Restoration signed a contract to rebuild my house after it burned down in June 2019. They signed a contract stating they would rebuild the house in 6 months in December 2019. They were set back for 18 months due to COVID but after July 2020 when the 18 months had passed, they would barely send anyone to complete work on my house at *****************************************). It has now been 3 years and 6 months since Mountainview Restoration LLC signed a contract with us to rebuild my house and they have yet to complete the work. My house is still unlivable and I am afraid I will be homeless because of this company come this December. My daughters and I have contacted them multiple times every month and they barely show up to complete work. They also often take long to respond to our concerns, sometimes days, sometimes weeks. The ceiling in the house is now molding, the basement has flooded, and no one has shown up to fix the issues found during the preliminary inspection they did. There is no insulation, dry wall or flooring and there are many other things missing in the house to make it livable. Also the company already has had over $150,000 paid to them. They pay the rent to the *** temporary housing where I am staying and plan to get all that money back from the insurance as they previously stated they would. We want them to finish the job but due to the lack of attention and communication of deadlines on this project, we do not believe there is any intent on completing the house. We will be seeking legal support at this point as we do not know what else to do. We would like for BBB to help us with this situation we are having with Mountainview Restoration LLC before we have to file a claim with the court. But if it is not possible for BBB to help and the company does not complete the job, then we will be seeking legal support.

      Better Business Bureau:

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ********, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

      Good Afternoon,

I was unsure of how to message an update to BBB on my complaint and would like to request to have my complaint removed. Mountain View Restoration, LLC has responded to the BBB complaint I sent in and has responded to me via email and given me a move in date, of September 1st 2023. Since my complaint, the gutters for the house have been installed and there is someone working on the house today. The company is responsive and although the job is not finished yet, I am accepting that the company has given me a move-in date of September 1st along with information regarding next steps in the process via email to me.

Please let me know if there is a formal way on the website to request to remove (or resolve) my complaint with BBB on Mountain View Restoration.

      Regards,
