Commonwealth of PA v. Huntsman Farms , LLC
The following describes a pending government action that has been formally brought by a government agency but has not yet been resolved. We are providing a summary of the government's allegations, which have not yet been proven.

On August 11, 2022, the Pennsylvania Attorney General’s Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP) announced the filing of a lawsuit against Huntsman Farms, LLC, Willowdale Creative Group, LLC, and its owner for allegedly violating the Pennsylvania Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law.  Specifically, the suit alleges these parties failed to deliver products or services as promised for which consumers contracted and paid; failed to directly refund consumers who purchased products; failed to properly and timely respond to refund requests made by consumers; delivered products that were defective, incomplete or installed in a shoddy manner; and were unresponsive to consumers repeated attempts to contact them. 

The complaint seeks a permanent injunction against the defendants from continuing to engage in any deceptive or illegal business practices, civil penalties, full restitution, disgorgement, and costs of the investigation. The BCP also advises consumers who have been affected by these companies to contact the attorney general's office at 800-441-2555 or www.attorneygeneral.gov.

In 2021, the BBB initiated an investigation on the business after receiving an increase in complaints from consumers related to the firm's business practices. 

Specifically, the complaints alleged the company failed to fulfill delivery orders in a timely manner, non-receipt of ordered products, failed to provide refunds/credits when appropriate, and failed to address the concerns of customers who contacted its customer service department. The firm failed to respond to the BBB’s request to address the underlying issues and correct its practices to eliminate the influx of complaints. Additionally, on May 12, 2021, as part of the BBB's investigation, the BBB requested information from the company regarding its contact information, terms & conditions, refund, exchange, and delivery policies, licensing documents, and information on its owners. The company failed to respond to the BBB inquiry and did not submit the aforementioned information as requested.

The BBB also conducted a review of major search engines and found several review sites that confirmed similar conduct about the company in reviews filed on other review sites.

Consumers are advised to contact their credit card company to dispute any charges for non-receipt of ordered products, and their local government Consumer Protection Office.
