      My boyfriend and I, as first-time homebuyers, recently encountered a distressing situation with Sila when we sought assistance with our oil furnace. We called Sila due to their specialization in oil furnaces. However, our optimism quickly waned when the service technician arrived. After a mere 5-minute inspection, he asserted that our furnace needed immediate replacement. This news was baffling to us, especially considering that we had only been living in our home for a year, and the furnace was allegedly new. A sales representative from Sila was promptly dispatched to convince us to purchase a $12,000 replacement furnace. Feeling uneasy about such a significant investment, we wisely requested a second opinion. Surprisingly, this second professional contradicted the initial diagnosis, stating that our furnace was only 2-3 years old and required a simple cleaning, which they were willing to perform for $500. The most alarming aspect of our encounter with Sila was their attempt to push us into a 10-year debt through their financing plan. It felt like a blatant effort to take advantage of our situation and coerce us into an unnecessary purchase. In light of this experience, we strongly advise against seeking assistance from Sila. Their inconsistent assessments, questionable sales tactics, and apparent attempt to exploit customers financially have left us with a sense of distrust and disappointment. We hope that others can learn from our unfortunate encounter and avoid falling prey to the practices of this company.

      I've used this company for years when they were called Fahrenheit HVAC and didn't have an issue, so being a faithful customer I called them again for a water heater replacement. They charged me over $5000 for a water heater and flood stop when the actual cost should have been less than $2000. I called several times with no response, but when I finally got a hold of the Manager and sent the comparative quotes they only offered a 10% "loyalty" discount. They charged over 300% what the unit and installation should have cost. This is really unfortunate because I've been a faithful customer for over 15 years.

      Called Sila for a Heater (boiler hydrolic) tune-up. Was told I needed a new valve and expansion tank. Quote for that: $3,275 for parts and labor. I called a plumber. He replaced both parts with labor for $550. Shame on Sila.

      Terrible customer service. Terrible follow through. Quick to sell and get a unit in but have no care or concern if it even works properly or if the customer was even satisfied. I don’t trust them and would not recommend them to anyone.

      My husband and I chose to use SILA because they were supposed to have well trained techs, good customer service and top line products. This is our 3rd HVAC unit that we've installed so we were well aware that we were paying top dollar for this unit but again, wanted to be sure that our home was comfortable for our children and felt most comfortable going with a well reputable company. WELL not even 1 year after the unit was installed- it completely shut down. Sila came out and repaired the part and not even 24 hours later- no HVAC system (air & heat) again. It took hours of near tears on the phone for them to come out and put parts in the handler that did not technically fit in order to have the system run. They wanted to bring wall and window units out until the new handler arrived, but I begged them to find another solution as I was hosting my son's 1st birthday and Easter in our home. Had I not begged, we would have had window units for 3.5 months after paying 10-11,000 to have HVAC installed. Then I received a call stating that the part was in, scheduled, rearranged schedules (with 2 toddlers and 2 full time jobs) to be available for the repair. They never showed. I had to call them for them to tell me "We're sorry the part isn't in" after waiting around for 3 hours following the text stating that they were in route. This happened once more- they reached out to me, made an appointment and did not show or call to advise that they were not coming again. They then call me, schedule another appointment and the morning of- cancel because they do not have enough techs. I finally spoke to a manager "Jenna" who at times, I did not even know if she was on the line, because it was complete silence with the occasional " I understand your frustration. I'll have a tech there tomorrow." C Good parts- break in under 1 year, good customer service- management did not seem to care, just wanted me off the phone
