I bought my golden retriever puppy 6 years ago, and now he has Chylothorax. I thought my dog was healthy until I got a call that he was dying and couldnt breathe because there was so much fluid in his chest. It pushed all of his organs to one side of his body. The vets removed 3.5L of fluid from him. He went through multiple tests and surgeries throughout the month. During the major surgery, they found a tissue fusion caused by "past trauma." Thankfully, it wasnt cancer, but the vets asked where I got him from, hinting that this might be related. They asked if I got him anywhere that was near a lake or if I unknown if he had come from a puppy mill. I realized both were true.6 years ago, I drove to a farm in **************, **, and saw 4-5 adult golden retrievers in a fenced yard. *************************, his wife ***************************, and their kids greeted me and I signed the papers and left. On the way home, I noticed his bulging stomach. I think of this now because he has a bulging stomach because of his Chylothorax that he could have had the entire time. He ended up having worms even though they guaranteed he didnt. He was also terrified of going through doors and still is, likely from being abused and shoved into a crate while having the door slammed in his face or on his neck. Greenfield Puppies is filled with puppy *****. The same family that sold me my dog owns the vet that signs off on all of their shots. They run several websites and farms, making it look legitimate, but its all a scam, and I was too dumb to realize it.They knowingly sell puppies with health problems at low costs. Unsold puppies with more issues are either killed or sent to pet stores like PetLand. They overbreed the mothers until they can't have more pups and then drown them in the lakes. Puppies are separated early so the mothers can be bred again. They also inbreed, causing serious health issues, and are churning out thousands of dogs with these problems.Review from Kurt W

I had contacted one of your so called breeder *******************. Spoke to him on the phone and ask many questions about an English Creme Golden Retriever Puppy ( Coty ). Even though Greenfield Puppies website states that the pup is AKC registered, vaccinated, vet checked, dewormed, and socialized , I have asked if Coty has been dewormed, and vaccinated , by a licensed vet and has the health certificates, the answer was YES. I drove 3.5 hours to ******, PA to the farm. Needless to say his son ****** handed me a piece of paper Title **************************** stating that this was the health certificate. No name of the pup, no DOB , no gender , no information about the pup. All blank just a handwritten exam date and checks under Normal for Eyes, Nose, Mouth, ears, muscoskeletal, integumentary, mentation, body condition and genitalia. Nothing state Health Certificate on it. Clearly not a Health Certificate. The pup smelt awful, eyes red, head went down in the grass every time you wanted to pet him and looked dazed. Ask to see the mother and followed him to get her she was kept in a cage by old tractor . Her fur was sticky and not well kept at all. The father was at another location. I ask to see where they pup sleeps and would like to see it and was told twice that they do not allow anyone in the barn where they stay. It was very upsetting that we could not take the pup. I come to believe that Greenfield Puppies does NOT vet their breeders. There website is completely false and is fraud. As for *******************, an investigation should be done for animal cruelty. Greenfield Puppies should be audit by authorities. I would never recommend anyone to go though Greenfield Puppies for any animal. There are multiple complaint for years but yet they are still in business. How? What will it take to remove such businesses ?Review from Cheryl L

I got Dasher my beautiful male Jack Russell Terrier in 2015 from Annie King and he is the best dog you could imagine. Healthy, well tempered, intelligent, he is a delight and I would highly recommend Greenfield puppies for your puppy search.Review from Hanna B

Stop supporting Amish puppy mills!!! The majority of the breeders on this site are Amish backyard breeders. The mom is neglected and abused and bred till she cannot anymore and then is disposed of. Like a piece of garbage!!! Remove Abner Fischer of Drumore, PA from selling dogs. He has pending charges he is facing for animal abuse and killing innocent dogs.Review from Sandra C

We had a wonderful experience getting our new puppy at Greenfield Puppies this weekend. Daniel Glick our puppies breeder is very professional. He does a great job with his puppies! We loved that his children interact with the pups! We would buy another puppy from Daniel at Greenfield Puppies, in the future! Thanks Daniel and family !????Review from Billie L

I am so disappointed in greenfield puppies. We bought our beautiful Chloe through them. Our poor puppy had one medical problem after another. We fell in love with him immediately. She did live to be 7 years old. I only wish it were longer. The entire time she was here she had one sickness after another and they wouldn’t heal. She had so many medical problems but she was so dear. I certainly pray that this company will stop their inhumane business practices. They lie and steal from the puppies and the buyers. They care nothing about anything but money. I really would discourage any one from buying from them.Review from Billie L

We bought our beautiful puppy March 8,2023. I looked on line and saw the sweetest puppy ever. We changed her name. She was so smart, but she had one sickness after another. She had 6 UTI’s in a 2 year period. We finally got that cleared up after many trips to the vet. Next she had a problem with her jaw. Took her to vet to find out what her problem was and they cleaned her teeth. After changing to soft food so she could eat, that problem healed. Next was ear infections. They lasted for at least 2 and 1/2 years. We were doctoring for that. Prescription for ear drops. Did that daily. Chloe won our hearts, she was part of our family. We took her everywhere we went. She loved to go in he car. A couple weeks ago she had seizures. On 11/09/2023 she passed away. She wasn’t even 8 years old. She was bought from greenfield puppies. I wasn’t aware that they were a puppy mill, but after my husband and I saw her we loved her immediately. So we purchased her. I only wish that they were more careful with their breeding process. It wasn’t about the puppy or the purchaser, it was about putting money in a pocket! Our hearts are broken with her passing.Review from Elizabeth R

My mom and I each got a puppy and this has been the easiest and most enjoyable process we have ever experienced when adding a dog to our home. I would recommend this website to anyone I know looking for a dog.Review from Chris S

Our Daughter age 19 but does not look a day over 16 went behind our backs to get a dog from Greenfield Puppies and one of their breeders. She wanted a Doberman (not sure why) we have no experience with the breed. She purchased the dog. Never received a bill of sale, no id, no background check etc. So, she purchased the dog and would call us crying as the dog had a bunch of scratches on his head and worms. We contacted the breeder. Two days later she started to realize that she did not have the room for the puppy as she lives in an apartment with an extremely small fenced in yard. She contacted the breeder about returning the dog. He reluctantly was willing to take it back and was willing to refund her 400 of her 925 payment. Now believe me, we are very confident that our daughter was at a decent amount of fault here, but the advertisement is "connecting puppies to families" . She was clear that she was a student but he sold it to her anyhow. I just would be very cautious of someone selling a dog that never contacted anyone about it. As an adult, we have rescued give dogs over out life and everyone of them does a house visit or reference check, etc. My wife and I actually offered to take the dog (because his wife was making comments about the amount of food and price of vaccinations) to try and help out, but he was only focused on selling the dog to us all over again. Just seems that good business practice would be to ask for an ID, especially when the potential owner looks so young. For what its worth he did give her about 40% of her purchase price back. Luckily the vet would not vaccinate him due to him having worms, crusty eyes, and the scratches on his head or she would be out thata money as well.
