We had Armstrong Alterna LVT installed in 2011 hoping it would last for many years. Our experience has not been a satisfying one. The product began to scratch in several areas, and it has also begun to peel in another section. The major problem, however, runs through the entire floor. Because of the textured finish, dirt builds up in the crevices even though we mop weekly using Armstrong-approved products. It is impossible to remove the dirt without scrubbing with the brush end of our Libman mop. It is time to have the floor replaced. I cannot recommend Armstrong Alterna LVT. By the way, I would have reviewed on the Armstrong site, but it is no longer possible to leave reviews.

I purchased some peel and stick tiles to complete a closet project, no actual traffic, no water, really no foot traffic or wear. I did the floor, and the walls, the following day the tiles were lifting off the floor, and fell off the wall. I examined the tiles and realized that the glue backing was entirely inadequate to the task, after a phone call to Armstrong, they confirmed that it had to be put on in a unreasonable set of conditions, First could not be mounted on a wall, Why Not? Once again the glue thin and nearly non-existent, with nearly no grip strength, poor design. The second thing, can't be mounted to wood? What? The wood in my house is 100 years old I had cleaned and primed over tongue and grove flooring, oh yes once again no good, started peeling up. Armstrong states it has to have plywood underlayment primed and even then they can come loose. So it isn't peel and stick is it, no it isn't, it's lay down plywood underlayment, fill all holes or anything high or low, seal screws and nail heads, then prime then peel and then stick, and if you are lucky, it may stick minimally, but won't last. This product is embarrassing from a good company that has made good products, and I could not get anything in the form of guarantee.
