On January 22, 2024 Westmoreland Movers was hired (************* - owner and manager) to move my household belongings from ********************************************************** to ***********************************. In the process our dryer door was severely scratched. No furniture pads used. We notified *** *************) after the move about the damage. He came by our home to review the damage and told us that he would file a claim based on the weight of the dryer. He estimated the dryer to weigh about 80 pounds but said he would submit 100 pounds. I looked it up and the dryer weighs 137 pounds which I texted to ***. He said on 1/30/2024 that he sent the refund on 1/27/2024 and that it would ***********-8 business days. We have not heard a word from him since and we have texted him numerous times. I have all of this in a text message string.Initial Complaint

Do not use Westmoreland Movers if you care about your belongings. They have total disregard for your property. I was going to donate an entire haul truck of furniture to Goodwill. Sam mentioned that he could resell it on Facebook Marketplace. I gladly gave it to him. When he went to load the contents of the home that were being moved to my daughter's home, he used 2 blankets. I provided 18 uhaul blankets. He used them for his things and never asked for additional blankets. The entire contents of the trailer are gashed, gouged and trashed. I sent him photos of the way the trailer was loaded, the damage done and an opportunity to settle things fairly. He responded with insurance gives $.60 on the pound. This happened because of reckless disregard for the property and negligent packing of pristine condition furniture. It was heartbreaking and to make things even worse when given an opportunity to make things right he did nothing. Now I am trying to contact the owner via email, text and calling to file the damage claim for each article damaged. He has not responded in over a week.Initial Complaint

I had the company load my belongings into a uhaul. They tore my couch in 3 places. I have texted them 3 times for a response and nothing. If I call the number I have to leave a message. It is a $2500 couch at least and they have not responded. They were 1 1/2 hours late to loa the furniture in the beginning with no notice until I called to question the delay. Very disappointed.
